surprizingly the match wasn't bad, even if the format is strange and the shouting and commentary in the middle of the point are kinda weird. One thing that strikes me most is the lack of dept from Thiem's shots and I think that's what makes it hard for him to make an impact especially on the forehand side. He used to have a lot of dept and top spin on his shots that made it tough for the opponent. By no means I pretend knowledge in high level tennis, but can we imagine lowering string tension to help him get some more dept ?
@@cpt-r.federer5940 nah that's not optimal, it's not like it's the problem. The main problem with Thiem is that his shots are not that impactful as they were, meaning he finds it hard to find depth and power which was the foundation of his game...
That‘s literatty excactly what the comment was about, and he even was thinking about a possible solution for that. Yes I think that might be worth considering, even switching from a 18x20 pattern (that he currently uses) to a 16x19 could help get a bit more free depth and spin. But as Dominic has such a proessional Team with a lot of knowledge behind his back, I guess they already thought and tried about every switch which could help him. So i assume that they alreay tried everything we discuss here, and Dominic either didn‘t like it or the switches didn‘t help, at least thats what I‘m thinking, but I‘m also just a Tennis enthusiast and not a pro or expert at all
@@piskoe yeah we only speculate from the modest knowledge we have, the know better than us. One thing is sure that with his game looking this way, I don't think he can comeback to the player he was, he is still young, he should try everything and anything and never give up, and eventually with the talent he has, he can recover some of his strenght.
wait a minute - how did they take that second-to-last-(shown) point away from Thiem? He's up 1-0, then loses 0-2? Or did the replay just skip the second point, won by Rune and the UTS graphic didn't show Thiem's first green light? The video info shows 2-1 to Rune...
No one can watch the Oslo matches because T2 isn't even showing it. They're focusing on WTA matches. It's not showing in France either or on the UTS app. This is a racket by PM.

And crowd shouting during rallies. That’s the format of UTS. It’s different. I don’t mind it for few days a year. It’s good tennis, fun, dynamic matches. But hopefully ATP, WTA and ITF won’t adopt any of this in the traditional tournaments.

They have it to make the playing field even then someone like rune. Fritz would be winning every single match with a flat serve. They want long rallies and a kick a serve does that
commentator after a normal shot: "so smart"
"is it in?"
"omg what a rally"
I feel like they use the same words and sentences all over again in every match like 10 year old 😂😂

He should have a wrist chirurgy

Mate, the highlight just skipped the point
Thieminator feels like a missed opportunity

Nobody's watching or showing it because it's a worthless exhibition!

Magnific!!!!!
Vote up for Federer comeback in UTS!!
UTS def has better court angles I'll give them that.
How to watch this live on tv?
Well done Holger! 👏❤️
Domi is coming back , I feel him stronger and stronger
He stated already that he is going to retire at Viena Atp 500. I really would like him to comeback but I think its over.
Is this an exhibition match!!??
Duh! Look at the scoring system.
is there prize money?
what is with the annoying commentating midpoint?

Its uts they do it to be different
I prefer it, common in literally every sport in the world, makes tennis a more watchable and enjoyable experience rather than just silence.

Thiem😔😔😔
What happened 😔
@@chalecmouse268he lost his motivation after his first and last grand slam title
Good thing Rune won. Otherwise, he would have been injured. He recovered from last week’s injury quite quickly.

Such a strange new format for tennis. I like some the new rules, but no second serve? Come on now.

Guys in the comments if you cant get the UTS format , dont watch it....
Thieminho what? He obviously should be the Dominator or Thieminator!
So Long…is it in?? Do i really watch tennis here or something else 😮
