Words cannot describe why I love this live album of all of his live albums! So viciously underrated when compared with such know woke like Rolling Thunder, Hard Rain, Before the Flood, Royal Albert Hall. He just does something so different when compared to the original recordings, he plays it off as a more joyous and heavenly vibe making it sound like you’re in some endless paradise. The guitars, bass, drums, flutes, organs and use of backup singers which would result in him recording the songs for Street Legal. Indeed it deserves much more credit and much higher placing in his endless list of live albums!
I absolutely enjoy this version of Mr. Tambourine Man. But a lot people forget Bob Dylan was heavily criticized for straying away from the album versions of his songs at concerts. He was vilified. However, Dylan proved his critics wrong, as soon as those bootleg versions began to show up everywhere. Dylan was ahead of us, genius that he is.
how can ANYBODY think that this is less than Beautiful .. .. .. to be "Far From the Twisted Reach of Crazy Sorrow" has been Mans dream at least since since we started Cave Painting
“ you know i don’t sing the same song twice the same way” or something close to this words says Bobby Dylan in a jam session to his band or any band. And he always sticks to his word. Never heard Dylan sing a song the same, 300 times of any song or more, you get 300 different versions etc,,, Wonderful Bob Dylan songs/ versions of “ Bob Dylan At Budokan” Album. A multitalented specimen of complete artist/poet you cannot find anywhere, an icon, or Shakespeare with a guitar and a harmonica of our time. Thanks ❤❤❤❤❤
Love this masterpiece in all versions I've ever known in my life! Have been translated and sung by singers in the world so connected as we're living now! 🎉🎉🎉❤❤
As much as I appreciate and enjoy his other live albums, these nights at the Budokan in '78 totally eclipses them all. Every rearrangement he did to every song was nothing short of brilliant. Every time I've seen him live (quite a few by now) he's never really revisited these arrangements. What a fantastic set of musicians he had as well. They made every song sparkle!
This is precious. In a few years AI will take all the video clips from this tour, the complete budokan recordings and generate a perfect concert video.

To play an almost greatest hits setlist with entirely new arrangements can only be done by the most special of artists like Dylan.
Sucks

Beautiful poetry, not beautiful singing. Rage about my opinion if you must, but the statement is true.

Wonderful version of a magical song, one of the greatest songs ever written ❤
Sure is, but I would call it a middle of the road version.

Was there a complete show of this filmed and out there amongst the collectors and traders?
Love this!! ❤️. I’m working on this song but what key is he playing in now? No capo? Tuning?
Key of C.
D-tuning
I like it Bob but a London accent has appeared in your voice
Perhaps my ears are wrong
Maybe ❤😊

Byrds arrangement
Never.. Dylan is always Dylan and never the Byrds..
I prefer the younger Bob with just guitar and harp. Top THAT.
He did top it. First in 66, then in 1969, 1970.... and it goes on. He has evolved better than anyone
And the colored girls go oooooooohhhh...
Sorry, but this is some weak Dylan here. Not my favorite period. The arrangements were made for John Davidson, not Bob.
Esto es un fake. IA
Wonderful
