I love how everyone attempting to play their own matches in the background are all enthralled by the intense action taking place between two people from basically different worlds dueling it out in their commonly shared interest: table tennis. It never gets old seeing sports bring us all together, and great sportsmanship just tickles me pink! Life is too short to be angry over a game, right? If you're getting angry from it, take a step back and breathe. Learn what it is that is beating you up internally about the situation and try to learn from it so you can better not just your game but also yourself. And yes, I am speaking from experience...lol. I used to get so mad at losing, but it's just part of the learning process to build our character into something greater. Really glad I stumbled upon your channel Adam, we need more people like you!
After 3 months, I am back. If you remember me, I am the kid with the sliced foot with the boat propellor. After all of the therapy and surgery, I am back on two feet. Although I have 3 weeks til I am back running and playing full on sports, I am still very grateful for all the things I have been able to start again in these past months. Thanks for all the support and works of kindness. Stay safe and have a great day.
I remember. Good to hear your healing proceeds! I guess you are young- decades of tabletennis are still ahead of you. I started TT in the age of 44- last week I reached for first time over 1200 Ranking Points in germany :-) For own reward I buy mizuni shoes and a colourful butterfly t-shirt :-) Best wishes. Jack
damn congratulations on getting it back again, i didnt read comments 3 months ago but its great to hear that you're on your way back to playing table tennis!
Both of them seem soooo fun to hang out with. Not gonna lie, I'm kinda jealous you got to spend time with them. And the editing was hilarious. Hope your leg healed quickly.
Adam likes playing against the top women table tennis players and these two beautiful Asian ladies are so adorable and such good company. The World no.8 Cheng I-Ching is an amazing player. As a result of watching Adams fun table tennis matches, videos at the age of 75 years old, despite 2 bad knees, I am going to start playing again come the warmer weather in Spring. I am also encouraging others to start playing. Keep the good work up Adam !
Absolutely love this video! They seemed like so much fun to hang out with and it seemed like you enjoyed yourselves a lot and each others company (and it showed in the video!)
She has the BIGGEST heart! Really. In this video, the first time I jump on the stage to turn off the camera... you can see the concern she has. Then when we walk by the camera after I cut my leg, her face says it all. She cares so deeply for people. ❤️
Hey Adam, love your stuff, you have inspired me after near 40 years to re-join a table tennis club (and I'm kicking some ass), thank you so much for your entertaining channel which my family watches. One comment on the fake tattoo sleeve, I have a full sleeve Japanese tattoo, it took approximately 40 hours (8 hour days followed by 2 week heal) not 5 hours but you are bang on pain. That said, I reckon some colour tatts the way your art flows would look pretty damn cool. There is lots of pain involved but worth it. Cheers Mate from Australia.
I left Taiwan at a young age over 30 years ago and I still can't find anywhere else in the world that has the same balance of individualistic freedom, warm-heartedness, and respect/civility among the people. It is hard to explain, but Taiwanese people strike the perfect balance between the reserved politeness of the Japanese and the friendly bluntness of the Americans if that make any sense. Basically if you are rude to the Taiwanese peope, they will generally take 3 steps back and forgive you, but if you continue, you are asking for a beating and they won't be shy about it. That basically sums up my grandma; I miss you, A-ma.
@2:54 it's called see you tomorrow because enoki mushrooms aren't easily digestible, which it'll end up retaining its shape and can be seen when you do the no.2
Very entertaining and great table tennis soul. Keep up the good work Adam. For you (and some others;) ), number 2 is more important, for the most others, it's number one.
Playing against Cheng-I-Ching (and not losing), reconnecting with her coach (and former US National champ and US Olympian) Jiaqi Zheng, and driving in a Tesla -- seems well worth the injury (at least I would make that sacrifice)... 😎🏓😇🏓👍🏓🤗🏓😅🏓😂
tbh I was 99% sure u're gonna hurt your leg after each jump! It always happens to me when I get overexcited and do such silly things :) Anyway, hope u're doing well, and looking forward to see you playing along them again ;)
First: Awesome, I want more. Second: I come from a tennis background, and often when people hit was I guess we'll call "floaters" high and slow balls, why don't we see it being taken on the rise (hitting the ball while it is still on the way up after its bounce, before it reaches its peak) in table tennis? I know the timing is difficult, but the time you take away from your opponent seems like it would be worth the risk.
I did exactly what you did, had the same slip jumping on the stage and had the same cut on my shin. I really don't understand why the bleeding doesn't stop, as it wasn't that deep of a cut. The wound took like a week to fully dry up and left a battle scar.
A pesar de llegar tarde, es increíble como se divierten. Me encanta lo amistoso que puede llegar a ser el ping pong, y por eso estoy empezando a jugar este deporte.
alright adam, i gotta give it to you, your videos are amazing. i love tennis a lot. i got a heart problem so the only sport i can manage is tennis. i'm not a pro but i can manage a fair game. cheers
