Adam Frank is not arrogant at all. I do not see why you would say that. He is one of the very few mathematicians and physicits who are brave enough to even talk about "alien life."

The stars have made a contribution to what humans are. So has the sun. I'm not a scientist and I say we can expect some alien life to have similarities to our human form. Adam Frank really doesn't know for a fact that there won't be similar characteristics.

Yes, extraterrestrial beings exist all over the universe and those who have been here (from Orion?) are obviously far more advanced than us. I'm pretty confident that ancient civilizations had contact and interaction with life forms from others in our own solar system. And could humans actually be the genetically-modified offspring of a previous life on Mars? Could the "Genesis" story of Adam and Eve actually be only a partial truth?

The presence of oxygen does not mean that there is life. There may be life, but not all oxygen derives from photosynthesis so there may not be life either. I love how these astrophysicists are so positive and base their belief on a lot of conjecture.
That's like saying we are on the brink of proving that the wind exists ?? just because you cant see it does not mean to say it does not exist. I don't think there is any doubt that we are not alone in the universe, and its not really a matter of proving it, but rather a matter of switching the light on ?

@@blueabattoirThose stories are often told by trained observers familiar with physics and then further corroborated by radar and infrared imaging (and John Ratcliffe, former Director of US Intelligence already said "they're not ours, they're not our adversaries, and it's technology we can't defend against" on TV, that alone should tell you what that means by process of elimination if you have any critical-thinking skills at all).
The Belgian Wave incident witnessed by thousands, including the Belgium military, and their assertion that what they saw was not from this world, backed by radar which they released to the public showing the crafts they chased doing maneuvers and speeds impossible for us in 1989 and still impossible today without anything coming out in all that time to show it was ours is extremely strong evidence that they're here.
That's just one example among many (e.g. Brazil's 1986 Night of the UFOs, also radar and a military press conference like Belgium, the 2004 Nimitz incident, etc. etc.) I agree with you, there isn't "proof", just like there isn't proof (DNA) in most court cases, but like most court cases, there's enough evidence to reach a logical conclusion here....that they're here, and to minimize that by saying "just stories," is petty and ignorant.

It amuses me when people gravitate to johnny come lately scientists on the subject as if they are ultimate purveyors of truth. Any serious student of the subject knows it was proved decades ago. His article reflects his mind set because he is a person who doesn't have a clue. He surely is no expert on the subject. He talks about his 30 years as a scientist but nothing about being a serious researcher on the subject. He is absolutely 100% wrong when he stated we are the only humanoids in the universe. Being surprised (some looking like us) or grossed out (a wide variety of species) about how they may look is the only semblance of truth in his whole story. His association with Nasa gives him little if any credence. On a positive note, at least more media is covering the subject, however mundane and i'lll informed.
I won’t be surprised if humanoids are very common in the universe.
Evolution follows the same principles, survival of the fittest, humanoids developed hands and intelligence to survive, once you learn to use tools, even making a spear to hunt or defend yourself leads to exploring ways to improve. Eventually you observe and discover metals, glass and other materials that go into making more advanced tools, before long your making telescopes, the rest is history and yeh it’s just rocket science, humanoids are not as rare or special as some would like to think.

Feel like I lost some brain cells on this one. Why would we assume that two arms two legs and a head would not be the successful form that would repeat throughout the universe? And for us God fearing we believe in design. And for those who believe we live in a simulation they believe in design.
