I think it's kind of obvious that with Part 3, the James, Mollie, and Mikey story had now already been told and had been taken as far as it could go. So Part 3 is clearly the franchise on life support.
I just wanted one of these movies to end with the baby’s as adults just slowly coming to the realization that they use to be able to communicate telepathically as infants.
Animal shelters try to sanitize their euthanasia efforts by referring to it as "destroying" the animal. So, that is actually the most realistic part of the entire movie.
