I see lots of good folks in the comments section who mean well. Sex serves to unite married folk in their love and devotion for each other. After being married for many years, here is what I have learned: both Men and women have a need for intimacy (i.e. quality time, laughter, physical touch, etc.), albeit they each need it in different ways. I have known some couples who are content to sit with each other on a park bench for long hours saying nothing. Then there are couples who are at their best when they work together on a project (in the home doing chores together or taking care of the kids) or solving a problem or serving the community / church in one way or another. Some couples feel closest during sex and might do so often throughout the week. Honestly a mix of all of these activities is best for a fruitful, long and healthy marriage. When old age settles in and hormones have died down and urges and not felt as often, a good foundation in some of those other activities I mentioned, will serve to keep a couple strong until the end. I pray that whoever reads this you are blessed with a healthy, fruitful, relationship. 😊

Is it just me or people see sex as a bad thing? Especially Christians. Sex is a gift from God for wife and husband. And btw, when He said "Be fruitful and multiply", he wasn't joking around was He now?
The uploader linked the entire message, and I highly recommend you watch. It's over an hour, but captivating throughout. The hot button portion comes up at around minute 38, he wraps it into a 20 minute teaching tool. Also, he drove home the point of givers being with receivers and not giver to giver.
Myles Munroe legacy lives on. I cried watching his son getting married.
If people would take the time to listen to the entire teaching they would not be so quick to make such ignorant responses. I am blessed and will now be a blessing to my future husband because of many of Dr. Monroe's teachings about being single, relationships, and marriage. He was anointed and he continues to bring knowledge to this world beyond the grave. Legacy!

I am very proud of you .A lot of ppl today have no decipline whatsoever. I remember before I got married my husband only received kisses from me because we vowed to abstain from sex until we were married. I wanted to do things right because I wasted a lot of time in a previous relationship, so when I made up my mind to abstain nothing was and nobody could change my mind because I also vowed to God and kept my promise and he respected that . Honey those cold showers lol But I felt good about it because I had the chance to finally right my wrong doings of the past.

We don’t need sex. The apostle Paul said some people should stay single. We need healing. Sex causes trouble more than anything. It is only good in marriage, if you waited until marriage. If you “need” sex, you are trying to fill a spiritual void with a physical void, simple.
This is so true. I don't agree with this teaching at all. Now I like Dr. Myles Munroe, but this particular message falls short for me. Sex is not now, nor has it been, nor shall it ever be a physiological need. It is a desire. Men may desire to have sex, but they don't need to. You will not wither and die if you don't do it. I think men uses messages like this to condone their inability to control themselves and to excuse their inappropriate behavior. Food, water, air now these things are physical needs. The body needs these things to thrive and function. Sex does not fit into that category. Sorry, Mr. Munroe, but you're missing the mark here and potentially fueling some very dangerous behavior.

I believe that MARRIAGE needs sex, not the individuals themselves, else there wouldn't be MEN who are committed to being single and are Christians. And I think this whole "give him sex or he'll go search for it elsewhere" theory should stop. People should stop making the men sin and then blame it on the women. The Bible clearly says this to husbands "treat her as you SHOULD.." 1 Peter 3:7. Gentlemen, if you are not courting your wife as you used to and not complementing/affirming her, protecting her, checking on her as you USED to. She is going to also stop putting on effort for intimacy with you, she is already taking care of your children (of whom are called by your last name!) taking care of your home, cooking, etc. The least you can do is treat her well as you should, then she'll want to give her body to you she belongs to Jesus not you! And also men should stop thinking that they're doing anyone a favor for not cheating on their wives, that's your own salvation you're working on. If she can't come around, pray, seek God to help you understand her, the Bible tells you to live with your wife with understanding. She has homornes, she sometimes feels overwhelmed as a mom, work pressure, societal pressure to be the perfect woman. The last thing she needs is her husband demanding more, woo her to you, be romantic, if she's gained weight, take over the cooking, the grocery shopping, don't ever compare her to another woman, especially not your mom. Remember she is God's daughter.
You left out the part where the book says “be submissive”. Christians are so perplexed, you’ll use whatever verses you want to fit YOUR narrative but also reject the word too. You either believe it all or none at all! Secondly, if you don’t think a man would leave and get it somewhere else, you fooling yourself. According to the word, What’s the definition of marriage anyway? If that woman, for any reason denies her husband sexual pleasure, it’s because she needs to work on herself. Nobody else can make you get in the mood, you have to want it! Otherwise you probably in the wrong marriage.

This is true. But it takes us women allowing God to soften our hearts. I now have sex daily with my husband. Sometimes multiple times a day. They need it - it's just true. They may be afraid to admit it because society makes them out to seem bad. But It's not. It's how God made them and it helps release chemicals for both of you to bond. We know it already gives beautiful life. We have 5 beautiful children. But it helps you bond with your mate better when you do it more often. Just my take.

After reading a few comments I can tell many people go to church but the Word of God isn't the final authority in their lives. We are triune beings. We need satisfaction in all three areas. About 10 years of a wife resisting and dodging it like it's the plague, along with putting anything and everything before you, you'll learn to just say meh we'll just go shopping and I'll sit on a bench while she touches everything they sell, we'll eat a nice meal on the way home where I'll hear her starting to breath heavy and slow so I know she's getting sleepy, then once home she'll fade off to sleep and snore heavy while you lie there and wonder how someone can so easily discount the passion of truly being in love with someone. After about 10 years you learn it's way better to just give up on it. The worst part is after about 11 years she gets broken up wondering why you're not attracted to her anymore. Guys, you can't win this battle, the more you try the more you're resisted and seen as insufficient, damage control is the best you can do. For better or worse right?
