First heard this in 1987. Used to play this for my children after a very tumultuous time in their lives. It would soothe them into a beautiful sleep. So blessed to have found this then. I am grateful for this gift from such a beautiful human being. I still have the original cassette tape I purchased
I first heard Mender of Hearts during a silent meal at Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, MA in 1989. It had a profound effect. I had the tape, then CD, and listened during chemotherapy and other times of challenge as well as "ordinary" times. It is so beautiful and powerful. Having misplaced the CD, I appreciate finding it here. I think my cat likes it too. Thank you. And peace to all.
I was moved to search out har har mukande after many years, for healing after also hearing it at Kripalu in the 80's. I'm so happy to find the Crimson Collection with Kim and Kaur. Thank God for RUclips! I'm looking for other chants I used to listen to and it's wonderful to hear them again after losing my cassettes over the years! 🙏
@@hilakummins3104 I love Har Har Mukande too--it's for courage, and has gotten me through a couple of terrifying times of my life. Just settles me right down
I used to listen to this song when I was just a baby, my mother used it to meditate even though the years have passed I still like it, I still listen to all the cassettes :D
Thank You so much for this upload! I often used beloved Singh Kaur’s Mender of Hearts, at the end of the kundalini yoga classes that I taught, back in the 80’s, at an Ashram (3HO foundation) that I frequented. I was not a Sikh. However, a devotee of seeking and implementing spiritual knowledge and wisdom. I was taught by some wise Sikhs, and on my ever evolving path to enlightenment, I was asked to teach. I am honored to have had that sacred experience. How soothing and healing Singh Kaur’s voice, the instruments, and heart opening song.
I first heard this on my honeymoon in 1989 in Totnes. I bought the cassette, and eventually got a copy on CD. It has carried me through my life, and will be played at my ending....
Her voice and songs pierce my heart, I listened to her while living at the Ashram in Portland, Or. it was a transcendent time for me. Thank you Holy Kaur and Hari Das Singh for the love and kindness.
Thank you for sharing this song. I started practising Kundalini Yoga back in 2010 and I heard some of Singh Kaur songs without knowing her name or the lyrics. Then I stopped practising for many years and recently started again. It was just a couple of weeks ago when my yoga teacher played It as part of the final relaxation and then my whole body remembered this magnificent song and my eyes where filled with tears of joy. It was like unexpectedly meeting a beloved friend on the street. I've been listening this song in loop mode for two weeks and I don't get tired of it. If really feels like the song is mending my heart. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! I hope you love it too! ❤ Guahe Guru!!!
My friend Sam bought me this tape when I was 16, I am 42 now, and Sam and her baby are gone. I too have been searching for ages for it. Thank you for the upload.
@@lauraleecreations3217 Thank you LauraLee, but if it is on RUclips, I can record it. It stirs up so many memories that it is not the sort of thing I can listen to more than once a year or so :) x
Don't forget to credit the harpist, composer, and backup vocalist, the always magnificent Kim Robertson. The Crimson series was originally credited to them equally, but with Robertson's name first; I don't know why that changed, but I'd hate for Robertson's huge contribution to get lost.
Over 30 years still makes me weep
🤍🕊
Mender of hearts was my home birth music for my daughter.
How beautiful! Your daughter surely appreciated it. 🤍🕊
