What if you get 10 fish of that 10 there aren't 5 spiders? Since 10 is the max you would have to get 5 spiders out of 10, and that seems like a slim chance.
To get a fishing rod you can join the fishermen’s team and reset. After that go inside and purchase one for 1000$. I recommend buying at least two as one of them usually randomly stops working.

you dont have to take the spiders back to the man u can sell them or even reset if u want to it saves dev told me

you can catch the spiders on the day too but it’s harder to catch

There is no max at all press the apostrophe key on your keyboard ` ~ or the backpack button if there is one top left
