I got had the phone call today from Microsoft saying I got the job. I believe if I hadnt had watched this video first I wouldnt have been prepared for it. THANK YOU SIR I am indebted to you. Your a legend!!!!
Yo. My man I wanted to thank you!!!! Just got my start date with Microsoft. I studied your videos during the interview process. Senior business PM data centers of America is my title. The process took 3 months from start to finish. Thanks from Chicago
I have an upcoming 4 round interviews with them as Snr Tech Program Manager. I don't know how the interview process works for them cos this is my 1st experience, so far you have hit the nail on the head. Thanks for being so clear and straightforward.
Hey Diego, this was really informaitve. Thank you. I have my first interview with Microsoft Recruiters for Digital Solution Area Specialist position. I am really nervous and excited at the same time.
Thank you Diego! I'm speaking with a recruiter tomorrow for a software engineer position, the video really put the whole interview process in perspective.
Thank you for your guidance in this video. I am currently applying to some customer success and account management roles at Microsoft (most in healthcare life science division). My biggest challenge is the long length of my resume as my experience is cross functional across healthcare, business strategy (mba internship) and sales. Do you have suggestions/feedback? What is the Microsoft Project Manager / level? You mentioned product and program management in the video only. Is this the same? Often, project management is less technical but not always. Or, should I consider product management?
Helped me to build more confidence the day of the interview. I appreciate emphasizing the key attributes and skills. I was able to add them to my answers and felt like I connected with my interviewers that way! Great channel 👏
Hi Diego, thank you very much for such an insightful video. I am preparing for my MS PM interview so this video really helped me to break down my work and know the focus areas.
Great video, I have a MS PM interview coming soon and this really helped. Would love to get some insight as to which types of questions are more likely to be asked
Best of luck in your interview, Kyle!! The examples in this video should help, there’s no specific unique MSFT questions. Let me know if the info in the video helps ☺️
I want to get into Microsoft. I have completed my associate degree in business administration! What should I major to get into any position at the company?
Hi Diego, Your videos have been immense help. Thanks a lot! May have an MSFT interview soon. Hopefully I will be able to ace it with these inputs from you :) Meanwhile, I have a query, which org in MSFT were you working for AI & ML projects - the work you do there seems to be interesting and wanted to check out if there could be positions in my company for that org. Thanks for all your help!
Thank you Diego. This is extremely helpful but what I would like to know is does the process remain the same through out the world (different countries) or it differs?
Hey Diego, this is a very nice and helpful video. I would like to say that I had an interview about two years ago, and I didn't pass, but it was a great experience because before that interview I didn't have formal experience as a PM. I had about two and a half years of SWE experience. I completely agree that the interview process is very similar to your description, but also I had one coding question, but the focus was on the product design question. I have one question for you. Now I have four and half years in SWE, and I learn a lot of things about PM through your videos, research, and talks (as SWE) with customers in the current company, but I am not sure for which position I should apply, in some way, I am feeling too old for the PM 1 position and I don't have the experience to be PM 2? Since I am in a transitioning period of my career, it sounds reasonable to me to apply to the PM 1 position, but I hope that doesn't look strange in the eyes of recruiters and interviewers.
Hi! thanks for asking! remember that there are two levels for each PM1 and PM2. You can apply to PM2 and be placed at the lower PM2 level... does that make sense? If you have the "required skills" apply to PM2 (or even PM1 and PM2!)
Hi Diego. Thanks for this content it’s extremely helpful. I’m currently a 3rd year test engineer at a defense company with an electrical engineering background. I’m working to finish up my project management MBA as well as obtain my PMP. What do you think is the best way to crack into the tech world as a project manager? I’m working to build academic credentials as well transferable skills like leading without authority in my current role to help flesh out of profile. I’d appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Diego, what an awesome video! Very helpful an informative. Is it possible for me to get in touch with you, as I have an upcoming interview and receiving an offer means everything for me.
Hi Diego, thanks for sharing helpful videos. Is this process applicable to industry solutions role at MS as well? Not completely but to some extent. Any key pointers?
Hi Diego , I have interview with Sales associate in store in next week. It will conducting 3 different interviewer 45 minutes each of them. Is this 2nd interview or the last one ?
Hi Sean! Best of luck in your interviews! I'm not sure if the Sales associate role has an extra interview, but the Pm interview (my experience) has 2 rounds. If you were in a PM interview this would be your final round. Keep us posted on your interview!
Hi What do recruiters look for when they shortlist the candidates? any Certifications What are the chances of getting a call by the recruiter to someone outside the US i.e India Pakistan Bangladesh? And last one having 3 years of project management experience which level should one apply for?
Hi! I don't think there is a hard rule about that. At least during my time at Microsoft there was never a strict rule around refreshers (or anything else out of the ordinary)
@@PMDiegoGranados Thank you! Your videos are always so insightful and to the point! I'm miles away from PMing but maybe one day I'll get to send that thank you note to someone :)

The pattern of interview remains more or less same in all countries or does it change? Say between India and US.
