Great Game! Great format! DeepFinesseLeague waiting for real Contenders. ;) Just kidding, but I thought it was kind of funny when Nerdcube said in the beginning, that he was happy not having to play that day. I understand that. During the game he then told us, that he had talked with Zoras about how to stop DeepFinesse and nonetheless Zoras is the one feeding DeepFinesse the whole game. Sure, I know it is blue and yellow, but I think it is still funny considering the outcome. Keep up the good work and work on your Player-targeting-strategies. :P
It is a weak faction, but in auction world it does not matter - player will often rather put factions they feel they have an edge over other players than factions that they think strong. DF have been playing alot with Auren so I guess that is why he put them on often.
@@zoras4016 I assume there's also an aspect of balancing. Like, if cultists are in the game you want another cult faction in to prevent cultists from just getting a free 32 points?
ah Nomad's stronghold is far from being a mandatory building - TM is a sly game in design - often what the player mat looks to push you toward is not the go-to strategy
@@zoras4016 you sly chaps, this shows how much experience i lack :D btw why there's no races from fire and ice expansion in the tournaments? problem with the balance?
It' also really easy to underestimate just how strong the third starting dwelling is. That tiny econ boost can snowball a lot, so it's a big part of the Nomads' strength - it's not just the SH action.
Love the video intro! And DanyB and Cube commentary is great.

9:23 I know that for me, as soon as I see ship pass scroll, Mermaids jump way up on the list (perhaps more than the blue + green color combo)
Thanks you so much for your content very helpful. Why auren are often played this season ? isn't it a weak faction?

@@MrCCCOMBO F&I factions aren't on the BGA platform currently. They are planning on putting them in in the future, though.
@@MrCCCOMBO they are only tested in alpha right now on BGA - hopefully they will be approved for next season
