In concert, that low bass part made the seats vibrate. I was 22 and fell in love with Richard Sterban's bass voice!

This was my secret " country" pick when I was a cool hippy chick. Lol.
Richard Sterban's wonderful bass addition of "Giddyup, ba oom, papa oom, papa mow mow" would blast on my parents stereo when no one was home. Pure joy!!!
Joe Bonsall's rich tenor vocal so high and clear, drove this energetic performance to perfection. Sorry to see he recently passed. 💔Knew you'd love it Harri, Tennessee's finest, had your braids swinging. 😂😂 Great reaction.
Wonderful selection Imadrummin. 👏👏🥁🥁 Cheers from Canada ❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦

I recently started collecting the Oak Ridge Boys discography. Two days later, I read Joe Bonsall (tenor singer) passed away at age 76 of ALS. Joe for me was the one you kept watching of the four. That infectious smile and energy. Thank you Joe Bonsall. RIP.🙏🙏🙏

Years ago, I was walking through the assembly department of a factory I worked at, several of the lines had radios. This comes on one radio station and like a tidal wave every other radio tuned to that station and yes a lot of us sang along.

Glad you are checking out this great country gospel band. Elvira was a huge hit for the ORB in 1981. You need to check out the collaboration they did with Home Free for this song "Elvira". The Oak Ridge Boys had a lot of hits. Check out their fun song called "Bobbie Sue". Sadly we just lost their tenor Joe Bonsall a few days ago.

The Oak Ridge Boys actually began in 1943. They were strictly a gospel group originally. I think the last original member left in the 1960s. They switched to secular music around the start of the 1970s, I think. By the time they got famous, they were a completely different group than what they'd been for most of their previous career.
