I found some secret roads in ATS too. For Texas, I found roads at Tucumcari, Clovis, Hobbs, Carlsbad, Alamogordo, and Las Cruces. For Montana I found I-90 at Sheridan. One of the roads out of Clovis even has the Texas welcome sign already. I'm assuming the small village past Clovis and right before Texas is Texico, which is on the border between New Mexico and Texas, hence the name, Texico. There is also a new rest stop near Raton that I haven't seen before and a sign at the interstate exit that teases Clayton, which is another small town in New Mexico close to the NM/TX/OK tri-point.
I believe these secret roads to Texas, Montana, and HoR mean that SCS is preparing now so when the DLCs are ready (and/or appropriate to roll out) that the connections will already exist for them. New releases don't come out too often, and I'm sure SCS doesn't want to hold up making a DLC available because roads to the new area aren't in the simulator yet.
What I think will happen is the name of the DLC will be changed, it will be released after the war (we don’t know when that will happen though) and some amount of profits will definetly go to victims of the war and refugees
I hope that HOR will release soon after these changes now, despite the war and everything Russia still is a beautiful country and as long as there's no weapons or other war-related stuff to deliver in-game, I don't see why they should delay it any further.
Because developers are, roughly speaking, idiots! They don't care about the game principles and the opinion of the players. Political views are more important. And they do not take into account the loss of strength, time and money from this DLC for some reason.....
I agree with you, but I do see why they're delaying. Releasing a DLC called "The Heart of Russia" while there is a brutal, heartless attack on Ukraine ongoing isn't going to earn them bonus points in the PR department. There will be a fair few of us who will simply enjoy driving around there, but there will also be a whole lot of people who will (understandibly) have emotions raging. Release or no release, either way is going to be a financial setback, so I think they'll just wait it out on the safe side, and I agree with that. Once a company gets a name for what people may perceive as being on the wrong side of history, they may be done for good, as that name will carry over to any other title they create.

If the developers of ETS 2 did not adhere to political views, but thought about their players, then I think we would already know the release date of this dlc for sure! And every ETS 2 player, despite what is happening in the world right now, would buy this add-on just like everyone puts the rusmap mod. @@GabrieliusGaubas kind of but not exactly.I explained for short that if this war wouldn't have existed,then scs would have no problem telling the release date,but since we saw that they help ukraine with the ukraine paint jobs pack,then this dlc will not release until this war is over.

Developers should think about the game, not about politics! And about their players at whose expense they live and their company develops! And with such political views, SCS will have nothing good. Then let's say there will be a country from the Balkans, where SCS are aiming and that they will also cancel DLC and lose money? This is stupid! Therefore, the opinion of the players should prevail! I’m fairly confident the DLC will be released soon, but they have most likely consulted their lawyers about it due to the current situation. Personally I can see the reason for and against releasing it, and personally I think they should but with a disclaimer saying they support the people of Russia but not the current war in Ukraine, and maybe have a percentage of the proceeds going to Ukrainian aid charities. Now I await the Russian trolls! 😂
I just find it quite amazing that you even mention "lawyers" whilst we have a whole American version of the game and nobody, virtually nobody talks about what the US and its allies do in pure war-terms to other "sovereign" nations as well "violations of international law" in its own territory regarding denying the right to asylum. There are 7 entrances to the HoR, 2 entrances from Pskov and 3 entrances from St. Petersburg, 1 entrances from Rezekne, 1 entrances from Luga

I do these trips in Open Betas since Idaho for ATS. this russia dlc won't release anytime soon, due to war - don't make sense ikr.
The target audience (russians) will not be able to buy DLC due to the inability to pay on Steam, so i think DLC will release later
