"Hi-fi sound" and "bass sound" sounds like a cheap fun, waste of time gimmick. .. I read there's aptX!! is there HD or LDAC? priced at 999!. They don't sound serious enough. My gut says pass!
@opaz. That's true I think they could've spent a little more time finding better names for their sound settings, but their 50mm soft magnetic drivers might give a pretty decent bass response. Plus the design plans to build it as a wired headphone before putting in the wireless tech reminds me of the Solitaire T, only with larger earpads which might give it a nicer soundstage. Not sure if it'll beat the 5909 in terms of sound (still my favorite overall) but it might be comparable to the T+A given how they use AptX as well
One of the 'very main' ingredients of a good sound performing bt headphone, is to possess a good codec. That could be the answer to your Dali curiosity
Remember, the much older IO-4 & IO-6 (albeit without soft magnet drivers aiding distortion) had 50mm drivers. Let's hope you're not just paying for latest tech!
Thank you for this review. Just listened to the Forbes article, kinda reminiscent the Velodyne vTrue headphones.
👍🏼
Gotta tell you the one I'm really curious about and can't wait for is the IO-12 from Dali. Very eager to see how it fares against the 5909

I also think the Dali IO-12 has the chance to be (among) the best, despite of lacking LDAC. Will take more time to see them in shop.

Not a chance to shell out that much money without having replaceable battery at least. This thing will be dead in 2 years.
