Yes I think it happens, I live in Puerto Rico and I went to Subriels last fight last month in Bayamon his promoter Fresh promotions has been promoting a card for March 8th or 15th for about a month now the card is already set minus the main event which said Subriel vs ???? And the co main is Rances Bartholomey I know I misspelled his name but the Cuban that had the boring ass fight with Robert Easter. Long story short From the way Matias looked in his last fight I got Teofimo Destroying him🥊🥊💯💯

It just got to the point where Top Rank don’t give 3 fu.. what this creído Teofimo thinks anymore this guy is so inactive that Top Rank already has a deal done with Fresh Productions to fight Subriel and they make the news public with ESPN number one reporter when it comes to the sport of boxing Mike Coppinger they are putting the pressure to Lopez basically saying to him we need to make,the fight happen there is no more games. Another thing Subriel just got ranked by the WBO never in the pass Subriel has been ranked by this organization he just got rank 4 in the new rankings so that way the fight could be made Subriel wasn’t even in the first 15 in that organismo and their new rankings just came out Thursday night the fight will be made there are some other details that needs to be made before the official announcement

Agreed. Lopez is a figment of media imagination. After beating Loma, he's had nothing of note and his loss to Kambosos is telling. If he was serious, instead of hyping himself up for the sake of a big payday, he should've been doing what he could to get guys like Garcia, Haney, or Davis in the ring. He thinks he doesn't have to play second fiddle and if the Matias fight is really happening, he'll be cooked and will have wasted his efforts on a Matias fight instead of closing the deal with a bigger name. He'll lose to Matias.

@@MotivateGlobal21 the real loser in all of this are the fans. All the talk on Matias is that he crude and is ripe for the picking, yet no one steps up to him. I agree with you, Lopez has no intention of getting in the ring with Matias. It's not like Lopez brings a large Mexican or Puerto Rican crowd. For as much presence as he thinks he has, it's gonna take more than a 30-minute ESPN Lopez infomercial (that doesn't even cover the Kambosos loss) to make Lopez a draw anywhere. Arguably, Matias is a bigger draw anywhere on the eastern seaboard. With Lopez being an NYC guy, good luck finding a friendly venue. I'm betting Puerto Ricans outnumber Hondurans 10 to 1 in NYC. To me, it's terrible that we have to sit here discussing the politics of why guys don't fight versus the sport forcing mandatory fights. The top guys at 135 - 140 should've already have faced each other, but they're too busy promoting for income and the result is we don't really know who the best is because they never fight one another, or when they do, contractual stuff bleeds into the competition a la ring size, glove, size, weight, hydration clauses, etc. It's killing the sport.
