I'm not a leather worker, so I have no idea why RUclips dropped this video in my feed. However, I DID watch it from beginning to end because the process was fascinating to see. Thank you!👍🏻
What a lovely thing. I've seen this wallet around Facebook lately, some sellers keep spamming it in post comments. I was wondering how the inside of the wallet look like and now i know.
Hi! Just an idea: glue aluminium foil to the outside of the plastic case, just under the leather. It shields RFID cards (contactless pay) from accidental use or scams.
RFID scammers are so rare. Do you know what it takes to pull off an RFID scan scam? Its a monumental task and is not worth the time or trouble for criminals to undertake. RFID blocking is a manufacturer's gimmick used to sell products. Fear motivates industry.
You can do it by buying a card slider, then dismantle it and copy that mechanism. He is an experienced leathercrafter and it is his profession probably. Korea and Japan have many leathercraft schools and people do go there to learn how to do it. I buy accessories and sometimes leather from Japan and Korea, but I live in Canada and there is no good leather shop do sells at a reasonable price. Most of the leathers and accessories are from the third world as the '80s, '90s technology.
Hi guys, To tell you one thing, Korea had developed the leather industry as you said. The engineers actually participated in the product development of many luxury brands. It is not much known. The technology has remained so far, and now many Koreans enjoy it as a hobby. Actually, People don't make much money from this. 😅
@@HahnsAtelier That makes sense! So many things which require precision in manufacture come from Korea and Japan! Beautiful and useful, as always! What do you think of using RFID cards instead of Starbucks cards? That would protect your credit/ID cards from credit and ID theft! But maybe the size and rounded corners would make it too small?

So glad leathercraft fellas generous about the language ! love ya! 😁
If you sand plastic, you may want to do wet sanding to minimise plastic powder going around, and use a mask
I didn't think of that. I will do that Thank you brother!
brilliant! i'm combining this design with a pull tab instead of the popping mechanism.
Haha. Unbelievable. What a delight. Thanks for showing us mere mortals how it's done.
