Marion Christmas Parade 2024 (NC)

Marion, North Carolina, held their Annual Christmas Parade on November 24, 2024. The Christmas Parade is sponsored by The City of Marion. This Year's parade Grand Marshal was Della Watson, a beloved community member known for her dedicated service and vibrant spirit. Mrs. Della Watson was born and raised in Marion, North Carolina. She was an educator for thirty-eight years, beginning in Yadkin County then in Rutherford County and finally back to her home in McDowell County.
Mrs. Watson taught at Mountain View School and McDowell High School until 1999. She didn’t stop at retirement. She continued to work at Foothills Industries with special adults. She currently works with the College and Career Readiness at NC Works, coaching special adults.
