- I posted a small clip of this yesterday I my instagram and so many loved it I decided to share the entire dance. This is my 10 year old daughter Maeve tapping with her 72 year old (yes amazing) Grandfather ( My father-in-law). Maeve asked her Gramps to enter a tap duo in her summer recital. After only 6 classes to learn and practice (choreographed by Elyse Williamson of From The Top Dance Center in Reading, MA) this is their recital performance. 💗💙
Adorable, when he is no longer on earth she will treasure this time. Such wonderful memories.

I was very close to my grandpa. He's been gone 21 years. This brought me to tears. This little girl will cherish this!
Maybe not today or even a month or year from now but she will (one day)

My grandfather passed right after my moms birthday and it has been so hard, because we were all very close :)

Yes I danced one time with my grandfather and wouldn’t trade it for the world and he has passed now but he was a lot of fun and one of the best man that I have ever known. I miss him so much but I will dance again with him in heaven one day I hope

My thoughts exactly, why? I do think there are people who are bored or just mean that watch these videos and give them a thumbs down just because. How sad and lonely they must be. I think those of us who truly feel sad for those people could do something positive and concrete by praying that they will find joy in their lives.

I work at a old people's home and met people who are over 106 years old and these comments are talking like the grandfather is already gone while he's clearly still healthy
This was beautiful! It reminded me to cherish the memories that I have with my own grandparents. None of them are living anymore, but that's what makes this so special to see... they are gone and it's painful even now, but oh, the happy memories! Thank you for posting this and I hope she has many more happy memories to come!

Crystal Buhrow same my grandpa died a few years ago from cancer and i miss him very much, he was so funny and was always joking with me. my other grandpa died before i was born and he was so excited for grandkids but never lived to meet any of us.
Im sorry for your loss my grandma passed and it was hard on my grandfater and still is 3 years later but they will always be in your heart

How beautiful! I was brought to tears. My grandpa was a tap dancer in the 1920's and how I would have given anything to have danced side by side with him. He was always so proud of me and loved coming to my recitals.

My daughter is very close with my dad. He is very introverted and when my daughter is with him it's like fireworks, where he can't stop talking and telling her stories. This made me tear up. The ending got me the most when he did his flipped. What a special moment for both of them. #grandpaissocool

I am blessed that I was born at a time when grandparents who worked hard in their younger years are able to invest and save so as to enjoy their retirement years with their grand kids. Watching this made me reminisce on my years with my grandpa. Although it's been decades ago, I feel like it was only yesterday. I am now 52 years old,still each night I say a prayer for him.

I only had one living grandparent - grandpa - who did everything with me. We adored each other. I never had a baby sitter. Always grandpa. We got up to all kinds of mischief over the years.
He has been gone now nearly 60 years but each of those memories are etched in my memory & I think of him EVERY day, even in my old age.

Some people nowadays will have a hard time appreciating this, but it takes real talent, and hard work to be able to get this far to be able to do this. Yes, i miss this. Remember the joy Shirley Temple and her dance partners brought? I was so sorry she had such a rotten deal, but she really blessed us as surely as these two have! Love still happens.

It is difficult to spin a plate on the end of your nose...but does that make it something worthy of praise?
Many people like tap, and mime, and drum solos, and juggling and, for all I know, nose plate spinning. Fine. They are free to attend or watch all the performances they want. I think these things are annoying, unpleasant and rather ridiculous and would not cross the street to watch any of them.

P Lucas well, most judges don’t give points because of their opinion. I mean, there is probably some section to vote about if they liked it, and there are always different ways of voting at auditions, competitions, and friendly competitions (I’m pretty sure this one is just for fun) they seem to be having fun and not messing it up the whole time, so why give it a bad vote? Pretty good for a grandparent and a 10 year old with only 6 lessons if you ask me.
Something about dancing with your grandpa is transformative, inspiring, and down right fun. Bcaz I'm the oldest I had the special privilege of having my grandpa "bust a move". I use it to this day...
