2:27 I love what you said here , there have a lot of people these days saying that blackpink has no talent and it's All because of YG and Teddy's job , but these people don't understand that if that's the logic that they're going with why don't Teddy sing his own songs then ? It's just stupid. An artist is a team the producer , the songwriter, the choreographer , and the person that is actually executing them .
Also selfmade doesn't mean that it's automatically good, it's appreciated but you shouldn't give the free pass just for that and using it to bring other groups down
The same songs could have been given to any other group but would not been the same . That's why when most K-pop idols cover blackpink song it's kinda weird to be honest , just a few ones do it conserving the group' essence.
a singer or rapper for 7 years and more with no writing credits is kinda insane for an acclaimed the best girlgroup of this time. also their live stages are selectively nice and they never give the same energy on every stagess. as the best girlgroup they are called, i just dont understand genuinely where they qualify except looking like expensive models .

Even jennie herself admit she wrote one of their songs but their company didn’t credit them, and it’s basically human nature to literally not to always at their best condition and perform best cuz they are not robots. The clips you’ve seen of them not performing well are also selective and limited with only few seconds. Whereas majority of their concert are them performing well. It’s literally always like that, yall always see the ‘wrongs’ of a person even if it’s just tiny bit and ignore the ‘right’ they did. The reason why they’re the biggest girlgroup cuz obviously they got the best stage presence and delivers their music pretty well that only them can do, cuz tbh some groups covered their songs but not single one standout. If ur saying blackpink are not good, why aren’t there any girlgroup bigger than them? Why do people dont switch and stan those other groups instead?? They should’ve lost popularity if that’s the case but THEY’RE NOT, cuz people know their worth and what they’re capable of that no other gg can replace that’s why many are still supporting them despite of the forced hate, rumours, edited few seconds video compilations yall did to their performances.

Does that mean she didn't deserve any respect for her performances. That whole idea that self-writing is automatically better is complete nonsense. Performance is a category of art. There are many very talented composers and songwriters who dream of getting a group like Blackpink to perform their songs. Not just because they are famous but also because many of the very best composers and songwriters are only mediocre performers. Was Pavarotti a crap singer because he didn't write his own songs?
Literally every criticism you're throwing at BP can apply to all other groups (especially in Kpop), but more so...and usually a hundred times more so. Blackpink did perform consistently for the most part. You're obviously thinking about the dumb hater videos that were compiled by people who strained their brains and eyes going through hundreds of hours of performances looking for enough "mistakes" to create a 3-minute video, which they then uploaded and pretended was representative of all BP performances. Who can you even compare them to in Kpop? Name any other group in Kpop that did 70 performances in 24 countries in one year, often with record-setting audiences. They didn't get invited to headline Coachella because they only "look like expensive models". Getting really sick of these dumb hater talking points that can't withstand any kind of scrutiny. It's like you think if you keep repeating them enough you think they'll come true or at least you'll be able to fool somebody through repetition.
@@tamminawarAdditionally, you have to keep in mind that YG has always been very conservative about giving "writing credits". You have to contribute very substantially to get official credits. Other companies will give "writing credits" for virtually nothing at all. If one of their "artists" changes a note or part of their sneeze blends with a drum beat, they get credit. They do it for marketing purposes because they know there are some fans who get excited about "writing credits" as though that's the only thing that counts for anything. It happens with western artists too. There are some very famous singers who get credits on every song...but when you look at the detailed credits they're always working with a full-time team of 7 to 15 arrangers, composers, lyricists, producers, etc. and the famous artist's name always ends up in the list somehow...meaning that they probably just had some discussions and expressed some preferences for one sound or a dislike for another sound...and that was enough for them to get "writing credits".

I love their Coachella Lovesick girls performance where Jisoo went off and slayed the song. But she sings stunningly here as well. And as you said, there's an immense amount of work done by each member to be able to maintain the highest level of performance.
