- We were searching the internet for weird boards and came across this handmade penny board made from solid oak. We set it up, give it a test, and play an epic game it don’t break the board - with the goal being DO NOT BREAK THE BOARD!

Sometimes a photocell will get dirty and they'll stay on. Sometimes they aren't wired with a photocell either and in that case someone just left them on.

if you'd just have the oak went through a bandsaw, it would leave saw marks right, act as grip pretty well. This is milled, so very smooth

I have a Penny Board from Venice Beach i got last October in 2021 and did a pretty cool Tail Manual on it at the skate park here in ATL at Old Fourth Ward and it felt comfortable but suuuuper sketch 😄

I don’t know about that board guys , it looks to have a big knot in it & some cracks in the grain , look sub- standard like it wasn’t well built . You don’t want knots in anything you build out of wood . That’s the weakest point . They should have cut the wood with the grain not against it , then it would have been a tough board to break . The tail should have been angled a bit too .

A California skate park worth(maybe) visiting is the mariposa county skate park. Wait till it ain’t burning first tho. It was really cool when I visited.
I like moges shoes, it really separates the feet so you can see whats happening easier

I'm interested in getting one to start skating a little but I don't really know whether it's actually worth it.

A penny board is good for short distance cruising, not for tricks or anything fancy.
I think learning the joy of just riding a board is key. You should do some videos about the pure joy of just cruising about your neighborhood.

and it's hard like maple, if you go to a lumber yard, just buy oak beams and ask them whether they cut them in half so you got planks, you can make a decent skateboard out of oak, has to be free of nuts and cracks tho
We used to make these in shop class back in the 80's. Mine had metal wheels. Rocks were deadly.

Next year I’ll be 50. I have poor circulation in my legs preventing cuts from healing without a bandage which applies 40 mercury of pressure and needs to be applied by a doctor once a week for several weeks for my cuts to heal.
I believe that you can get motorcycle clothing with Kevlar in it. What I want to know is if the clothing has give. If it doesn’t stretch then it could potentially snag on something And apply a lot of force to your leg. Being that it’s made of Kevlar it would not rip. You would.

Solid oak is weaker than maple ply. I'm more surprised it didn't break at epoxy resin area.
