This is A/The "Custom Tuning Version" of this song for Bass.
My Previous Best Score on this version of the song was 99.0% Accuracy. I've attempted this song quite a few times in the past week or two but the majority of those were on the D Standard Tuning rather than this one just listed as Custom Tuning. I tried this one several times in the past two days and yesterday got it up to that 99.0% Accuracy that this one moved further.
When it comes to playing songs by bands like Nightwish, or any of the bands in my 7 Favorite Bands list, nothing is EVER "Good Enough" even when it literally has to be because I'm simply not good enough yet. Nightwish is the band that is by far my biggest inspiration to learn to play guitars myself. Marko Hietala is the only reason I gained any interest in Bass at all. He made it look awesome enough that I decided to get on and learn that along with 6-String. I haven't regretted that for a single minute.
The songs of this band are sort of like the Holy Grail of where to aim when it comes to learning to play. It's fast, it's complicated, it's powerful, it's amazing in every way I can think of. So I want to play them and I also know I should not be able to easily play them. I don't like not playing things perfectly even when reality says there's no way I should be anywhere near doing that at this point in learning. I'm far ahead of anything I ever dreamed of being able to do with a guitar. I didn't think I would be doing what I just did here until 6 or 8 years into playing AT LEAST. I haven't even hit 3 years playing 6-String or 2 years playing Bass yet. It works out because it keeps me practicing though.
