You have made so much from this visit! That’s one of the things I love about making art. Getting inspired and running with it, not knowing where it’s going but trusting it. Am I done with this yet? Apparently not, here’s another idea. It finally becomes less and less urgent and ends up just nestling in comfortably in your head, becoming part of your DNA, altering it slightly or maybe just bringing into more relief what was already there. The older I get the more I trust this process. That inner spoil sport’s voice is getting fainter. It’s still there but I’m more able to nicely tell it to sit down and not worry. I’ve got this, darlin’. It won’t hurt.
Always more ideas and inspiration. One thing leads to another and I just have to keep on going, keeping busy creating. It’s interesting now to find out a bit more about Derek Jarman. With the internet, it’s so much easier to research!
