At least, I'd love to believe it's them. They reference Bubble on their IG/RUclips livestreams, and honestly, even with how advanced AI is these days, it's hard to replicate the exact texting style of a unique individual and program it to send at oddly specific parts of the day. Additionally, some of the messages seem too specific to be bots... I shared some low-risk examples in the video, but I highly doubt a computer program could replicate the sincerity of TWICE's Bubble messages.
i had her bubble, and she sent like five messages during the entire month long period. i obviously didn’t care though because they were mid tour and also, the messages she did send were cute :)

Twice were very active when Bubble first came out, but when it changed to individual members, they slowed down a bit. Just a little context, October / November was when they were busy filming all their Christmas content and assumedly the recording / production of their next comeback. They tend to be more active during promotion time but the rest can't match Dahyun's love for Once.
I bet they were! Makes me wonder what it would've been like to subscribe to them at the very beginning! That makes complete sense honestly, Jihyo was VERY active when her solo debut released too! If no one else, we can definitely count on Dahyun 🥰🦅
Dahyun's level of fan service is impeccable, as Nayeon and Jihyo said they are scared with their solo fan meetings because the ones that usually engages and keeps the fans entertained is either Dahyun or Sana. She makes sure you get what you paid for (this is not a diss to the other members) because if you subscribe to even just one you''re bank account will bleed XD.

You can’t see anyone else’s messages though except for the idol’s, and the idol is the only one who can see all the messages. They send photos and go live as well as proof that it’s actually them. Plus the fact that some idols message more than others proves that they own and use bubble themselves.

Where are they going, what are they eating? They only send it once and it reaches everyone! After artists send messages, fans can send 3 small messages! But artists are not obliged to read that message! It is a long way to reply! Sometimes, if the artist likes any opinion or question, he answers it! Maybe 2 or 3 questions a month! Each member chats with their one of the most favorite fan maybe 1 or 2 times a month by name! For 30 second to 2 minutes 😅😅 i have using bubble for years! An average of 10 days per month, artists send their personal messages! And they never spend more than 5 to 10 minutes a day on bubble messages! sometimes they spend only 30 second in a day in bubble message 😅 And replying thousands fans?? lol 😂😂😂😂😅🤣😂😅😅😅
i've subscribed to Mina since day 1. if you stan her, you probably expected that she wouldn't use Bubble much anyway. i still find it cute when she sends messages, she uses it like a diary
I think Twice was more active on Vlive in their early years when they were growing. I remember scrolling through hundreds of their old live streams (before Vlive shut down). Now they're probably just taking time to enjoy life
Mina's bbl was used to be her rant account (which we actually find it funny)😂 she comes on the bbl on a random time of a day and share the minor inconveniences she experienced during that time. But when RTB tour started she usually comes on bbl whenever they have a flight will send a selca and say she/they will comeback safely

Oh my goodness, I'm honored, thank you so much! I tried to account for as many situations as I could to preserve the challenge's integrity as much as possible! There's definitely areas where I can improve upon in analyzing all of this data (i.e., finding a way for an AI to automatically keep track of the number of messages sent per day so I can focus on the quality of messages). I'm definitely open to suggestions on improving these experiments in the future! 🥰
I just recently realized that I have become a Twice fan mid February and I'm having a blast with Twice. This video helped so much to decide whether to sub or not for this will be my first time doing something like this. Well, mainly it's because of Mina's upcoming birthday for the livestream. I'll be picking Mina(my bias) and Dahyun for the fan service she gives.
as someone who has had nayeon, jihyo & dahyuns bubble for over a year straight. they are def busier. before the tour I would literally have to mute jihyo & dahyun they sent so many msgs daily so hopefully they get back to that after the tour 😭😭
As someone from outside, it's also definitely a generation thing. Social media has changed so much in the last few years, and you can easily see that the younger idols use it more than older well-established idols who may have other things to do in their daily life. Social media and connection are SO important not to be forgotten, and the younger groups need to stay visible. Also, I think younger groups get more training in the use of Bubble and such media and the importance of it. That's just my take on it though.
Agree. And I also think about the age thing, cuz sometimes I feel the younger idols, or the newer debut idols tend to be more ... passionate? Don't know if that's the right way to describe it but, everytime I watch those video of younger Tzuyu from just debut even pre-debut time, I feel she looks much more energetic on stage compare to now...
I'm a big fan of Twice, and JYPE in general. However, I have to admit to having mixed feelings about Bubble and similar services.; especially when I turn off my fandom brain and think about it from a workplace environment perspective. On the one hand, the service helps acknowledge and compensate the informal things Twice (and other idols) do to engage with fans outside of scheduled activities - all of which is ultimately work. On the other, I feel these services really feed into parasocial relationships, which many companies intentionally harness as part of their marketing / business strategy. By charging a monthly fee, some fans might develop even more of a sense of entitlement of their idols' time and attention since they are explicitly paying for this. Additionally, the apps give fans a direct line and access to the idols; which can be very intrusive for the idol, as well as feed into fans' sense of having a personal connection with the idol. I wonder if these contexts play a role in how much (or rather, how little) some of the members of Twice engage with the platform.
😢 i feel what you say.. i have three Twice bubbles and i think it really goes into you head.. even in my workplace. Also bcs of the timezone often i will have the message in the middle of my day meaning when i am at work. But i cant look bcs i am at work. But i want tooo..... nooo joke the struggle is real 😔
Kpop is a rip-off machine. Bubble is just one more way they found to milk our money. Maybe some idols can turn Bubble into something healthy, but primarily it's profit oriented
That's what I've been thinking about... If I was an idol I'd feel super pressured to make the money worth it. Imagine coming home from work after 12+ hours (as it often is in the idol business) or having a free day and you suddenly remember that there are people on your phone expecting something from you.
At the London concert Mina reacted to my sign and was very weird, but not in a bad way, in the coming minutes. It was a short, but emotional message (I promise nothing shippy or creepy). Right after the concert she came on and talked a lot and then had an actual bubble live session. I know it wasn't because of me, but it was still very nice to be able to "spend time" with her after that incredible experience at the concert. So for me its been worth it for 700 days of all 9 members.. If you can afford it.
I was subscribed a good portion of their world tour last year for all the members and they were really active around US concert performances, usually after each performance at least one member would so a 10-30ish minute live (usually Dahyun) and it was a good back and forth talking to Onces answering questions (I actually got a response from Sana) and stuff or telling stories about the show. Mina over all, like you said, does small talk (when she does rarely message) but once in a while gets sentimental ("Let's get old together Once"). When she does post photos it's usually cute selfies with light to no makeup.
I'm Mina's bubble enjoyer, eventho she dont use it alot I still enjoy a little small talk with her. According to her quiet personality I truly understand her, I still enjoy recieving her messages ... and it's totally a special feeling when you recieve a notification from 묘 bubble. You can imagine her small voice through her messages as well 😂😂
What a coincidence! I just subscribed to Twice Bubble a few days ago. I subscribed to Chaeyoung, Dahyun, and Nayeon. And so far your video is accurate! Chaeng is my bias, so I'd love her even if she'll not msg frequently. DubChaeng is my favorite duo, it's a bonus that Dubu frequent bubble. I heard good things about Nayeon bubble, so I subscribed to her too. So far, all 3 of them have wished a happy new year, and as expected Dubu sent the most msg 😊.
oh my goodness you would’ve loved the “eyes wide open” album i got from my brother yesterday! I got a huge chae poster, 1 photocard and i got 2 nayeon photo cards!
The point is not the frequency of the messages Once get from Twice members, but the direct connection established with them and the support to them. That, in my view, is priceless.

I'm using bubble for months but never actually sent them message thinking that they will never reply to English message. But last month I sent message on Tzuyu's bubble and she replied. I literally jumped out of my bed. 😭😭♥️
I have Jeongyeon (my bias), Dahyun and Sana's (my 2 bias wreckers) Bubble's, and agree with your comments. Find Dahyun's bubble such a blast as it at times a stream of consciousness and it at times feels like it is her just finding emojis and stickers that she didn't know were on Bubble. While Sana and Jeongyeon's are special because of the infrequency, there will be days when they both suddenly just post a load of content. Sana's use of the [@ all] feature in her messages does add a nice touch too. I suspect one difference between Twice and NMixx is the individual IG accounts that give them another avenue to interact with fans, and one that is often a lot less wordy which might be more comfortable for the members.

Firstly, one month is a bit short to really experience some members' bubble and know their bubble style , and to choose Oct, where they were busy resting, filming and preparing for anniversary events. they usually send more message while touring or during promotion. Also, since they have individual Instagram, some of their interactions are there and time needed to be split between these. Anyway, MoMo uses bubble as FAQ, so when she has technical issues, there will be lots of messages.
ngl i have been waiting for this kind of content, its fun and entertaining. as someone who has bubble its nice to know the other groups' bubbles. anyway great content, keep it up brotha!

I have subscribe to all of the members bubble since the beginning of group bubble. I just see the money as buying them a cup of coffee every month for their hard work. It doesn’t really matter how much message they send. In the early days, it is almost “stressful” when momo, sana, jihyo and dahyun comes online at the same time because they can bombard the bubble with over 100 messages. (ps. I am typing this message while Jeongyeon is doing bubble live while having a cold)
Really agree, at the early days they can easily rumbling the bubble.. and they literally chat you at dawn, (i'm at GMT +7 , while korea at GMT +9) this happened once, the chat start coming from 1 am in my time and just end in 5 am.. RIP my bed time.. but i totally agree with you, for now even if they getting less and less to chat in bubble, i'm still subs them treat it as my way to get them some snacks and drink..

I expected this turnout. In other platforms gen 3 idols spend less time as well while gen 4 will flood your notifications. This happens to me in Weverse. It is understandable though, their schedule is more packed and they are the ones who would try to distance themselves from social media to protect their mental health. Gen 4 idols being much younger would also have much more energy... :) But for those gen 3 stans like me we know that those notifications from those idols are priceless! 🤍 Now that I think about it do any gen 2 group use this kind of platform? I know they are mostly inactive or doing solo now...

I find it surprising that they have the time, patience and willingness to even talk there. They have Instagram, they have millions of people talking them. So much exposition must be exhausting. I can imagine them talking among themselves, but we are strangers, even though we're Once. They are introverts and not too sociable. I wouldn't like it if they sent too many messages in Bubble because that would feel forced. Also for me quality is more important than quantity. I would rather have 1 honest, meaningful conversation with Mina in 4 months than have 40 TMIs

I really miss when they had the full group together bubble, I was subbed to that for a good while and it was like you were watching twice's personal group chat with them often interacting with each other. obviously even with that you didn't often get much input from certain members but regardless the dynamic of them interacting with each other was super fun ^^

Mina's bbl was used to be her rant account (which we actually find it funny)😂 she comes on the bbl on a random time of a day and share the minor inconveniences she experienced during that time. But when RTB tour started she usually comes on bbl whenever they have a flight will send a selca and say she/they will comeback safely

There's definitely areas where I can improve upon in analyzing all of this data (i.e., finding a way for an AI to automatically keep track of the number of messages sent per day so I can focus on the quality of messages).
I'm definitely open to suggestions on improving these experiments in the future! 🥰
I just recently realized that I have become a Twice fan mid February and I'm having a blast with Twice. This video helped so much to decide whether to sub or not for this will be my first time doing something like this. Well, mainly it's because of Mina's upcoming birthday for the livestream. I'll be picking Mina(my bias) and Dahyun for the fan service she gives.
Nayeon also uses Bubble as tech support for any problems she has.
I also feel like Momo messages much more than she did during October.
as someone who has had nayeon, jihyo & dahyuns bubble for over a year straight. they are def busier. before the tour I would literally have to mute jihyo & dahyun they sent so many msgs daily so hopefully they get back to that after the tour 😭😭
As someone from outside, it's also definitely a generation thing. Social media has changed so much in the last few years, and you can easily see that the younger idols use it more than older well-established idols who may have other things to do in their daily life. Social media and connection are SO important not to be forgotten, and the younger groups need to stay visible. Also, I think younger groups get more training in the use of Bubble and such media and the importance of it. That's just my take on it though.
Agree. And I also think about the age thing, cuz sometimes I feel the younger idols, or the newer debut idols tend to be more ... passionate? Don't know if that's the right way to describe it but, everytime I watch those video of younger Tzuyu from just debut even pre-debut time, I feel she looks much more energetic on stage compare to now...
I'm a big fan of Twice, and JYPE in general. However, I have to admit to having mixed feelings about Bubble and similar services.; especially when I turn off my fandom brain and think about it from a workplace environment perspective. On the one hand, the service helps acknowledge and compensate the informal things Twice (and other idols) do to engage with fans outside of scheduled activities - all of which is ultimately work. On the other, I feel these services really feed into parasocial relationships, which many companies intentionally harness as part of their marketing / business strategy. By charging a monthly fee, some fans might develop even more of a sense of entitlement of their idols' time and attention since they are explicitly paying for this. Additionally, the apps give fans a direct line and access to the idols; which can be very intrusive for the idol, as well as feed into fans' sense of having a personal connection with the idol.
I wonder if these contexts play a role in how much (or rather, how little) some of the members of Twice engage with the platform.
😢 i feel what you say.. i have three Twice bubbles and i think it really goes into you head.. even in my workplace. Also bcs of the timezone often i will have the message in the middle of my day meaning when i am at work. But i cant look bcs i am at work. But i want tooo..... nooo joke the struggle is real 😔
Kpop is a rip-off machine. Bubble is just one more way they found to milk our money. Maybe some idols can turn Bubble into something healthy, but primarily it's profit oriented

That's what I've been thinking about... If I was an idol I'd feel super pressured to make the money worth it. Imagine coming home from work after 12+ hours (as it often is in the idol business) or having a free day and you suddenly remember that there are people on your phone expecting something from you.

At the London concert Mina reacted to my sign and was very weird, but not in a bad way, in the coming minutes. It was a short, but emotional message (I promise nothing shippy or creepy). Right after the concert she came on and talked a lot and then had an actual bubble live session. I know it wasn't because of me, but it was still very nice to be able to "spend time" with her after that incredible experience at the concert. So for me its been worth it for 700 days of all 9 members.. If you can afford it.

I was subscribed a good portion of their world tour last year for all the members and they were really active around US concert performances, usually after each performance at least one member would so a 10-30ish minute live (usually Dahyun) and it was a good back and forth talking to Onces answering questions (I actually got a response from Sana) and stuff or telling stories about the show.
Mina over all, like you said, does small talk (when she does rarely message) but once in a while gets sentimental ("Let's get old together Once"). When she does post photos it's usually cute selfies with light to no makeup.
I'm Mina's bubble enjoyer, eventho she dont use it alot I still enjoy a little small talk with her. According to her quiet personality I truly understand her, I still enjoy recieving her messages ... and it's totally a special feeling when you recieve a notification from 묘 bubble.
You can imagine her small voice through her messages as well 😂😂
She's like that quiet and shy girl in class. The only memory you have with her is when she asked 'are you ok?' after you slipped beside her.😂
What a coincidence! I just subscribed to Twice Bubble a few days ago. I subscribed to Chaeyoung, Dahyun, and Nayeon. And so far your video is accurate! Chaeng is my bias, so I'd love her even if she'll not msg frequently. DubChaeng is my favorite duo, it's a bonus that Dubu frequent bubble. I heard good things about Nayeon bubble, so I subscribed to her too. So far, all 3 of them have wished a happy new year, and as expected Dubu sent the most msg 😊.
Funny thing about Chaeyoung is when she does message it's usually about weather ("dress warm", "stay hydrated") type stuff or what she's listening to.

The point is not the frequency of the messages Once get from Twice members, but the direct connection established with them and the support to them. That, in my view, is priceless.

I have Jeongyeon (my bias), Dahyun and Sana's (my 2 bias wreckers) Bubble's, and agree with your comments. Find Dahyun's bubble such a blast as it at times a stream of consciousness and it at times feels like it is her just finding emojis and stickers that she didn't know were on Bubble. While Sana and Jeongyeon's are special because of the infrequency, there will be days when they both suddenly just post a load of content. Sana's use of the [@ all] feature in her messages does add a nice touch too.
I suspect one difference between Twice and NMixx is the individual IG accounts that give them another avenue to interact with fans, and one that is often a lot less wordy which might be more comfortable for the members.
For group who have spare 3-4 unreleased albums before one year of release, this much interaction is golden thing

Firstly, one month is a bit short to really experience some members' bubble and know their bubble style , and to choose Oct, where they were busy resting, filming and preparing for anniversary events. they usually send more message while touring or during promotion. Also, since they have individual Instagram, some of their interactions are there and time needed to be split between these. Anyway, MoMo uses bubble as FAQ, so when she has technical issues, there will be lots of messages.
Thanks for doing this series. I don't consider myself a fan of NMIXX or TWICE but what you are doing is super cool and can't wait to see more.

I have subscribe to all of the members bubble since the beginning of group bubble. I just see the money as buying them a cup of coffee every month for their hard work. It doesn’t really matter how much message they send. In the early days, it is almost “stressful” when momo, sana, jihyo and dahyun comes online at the same time because they can bombard the bubble with over 100 messages. (ps. I am typing this message while Jeongyeon is doing bubble live while having a cold)

I expected this turnout. In other platforms gen 3 idols spend less time as well while gen 4 will flood your notifications. This happens to me in Weverse. It is understandable though, their schedule is more packed and they are the ones who would try to distance themselves from social media to protect their mental health. Gen 4 idols being much younger would also have much more energy... :) But for those gen 3 stans like me we know that those notifications from those idols are priceless! 🤍 Now that I think about it do any gen 2 group use this kind of platform? I know they are mostly inactive or doing solo now...

Mina: rant account (iykyk), selcas, ray pic (her dog), food (i think this is basically what her bbl is)

I find it surprising that they have the time, patience and willingness to even talk there. They have Instagram, they have millions of people talking them. So much exposition must be exhausting. I can imagine them talking among themselves, but we are strangers, even though we're Once. They are introverts and not too sociable. I wouldn't like it if they sent too many messages in Bubble because that would feel forced. Also for me quality is more important than quantity. I would rather have 1 honest, meaningful conversation with Mina in 4 months than have 40 TMIs

I really miss when they had the full group together bubble, I was subbed to that for a good while and it was like you were watching twice's personal group chat with them often interacting with each other. obviously even with that you didn't often get much input from certain members but regardless the dynamic of them interacting with each other was super fun ^^
