Thank you all for the support! Especially those of you who have purchased my music on Bandcamp. I've gone from 100 to almost 2500 subscribers in a month because of the algorithm. I never thought one of my projects would get over 100,000 views, especially not so suddenly. might sound weird but i did a lot of entomology in college, like bug collecting and stuff, and this album reminds me so much of that time. all the big shiny beetles and the microscopic thrips that live inside blooms and the fat caterpillars inching along branches and stuff. very organic, crunchy, pesticide-free music lol. great work!
In my career as an agronomic engineer I got entomology when I fell completely in love with it, since I did not remember that as a child I collected insects, and there is just a piece of music called chrysoperla
I'm autistic and have an obsession with bugs, like I'm doing an entomology internship right now and want to do bug science until I die, and this playlist has been a big game changer for my sleep. The amount of dopamine and peace of mind I get from imagining a bunch of little bug guys hanging on to the seeds of a dandelion as they fly over a sunny field is so nice, and every song evokes some imagery like that. Thanks Chypho!
I love your description of the little guys on the dandelions….I’m a little jealous that you can see such great images. I have almost total aphantasia and can only visualize under certain circumstances.
There is an album called Music for Bugs by a RUclipsr named Camiidae. You would probably like it. It’s not as upbeat as this but I thoughtfully enjoyed those little bug tunes.

It feels like a secret party thrown by tiny insects. And you are watching them dance near a sunlit river and vibrant green colored grass. Love the sound and vibe of this album!
Not to get too heady, but I thought of this quote while listening to this from the Tao Te Ching: "Without going outside his door, one understands (all that takes place) under the sky; without looking out from his window, one sees the Tao of Heaven. The farther that one goes out (from himself), the less he knows. Therefore the sages got their knowledge without travelling; gave their (right) names to things without seeing them; and accomplished their ends without any purpose of doing so." great work!
This goes from being sweet, to quirky, to trippy, to slapping all the while with this precious, innocent album artwork like who is even behind this and how do I let them know how many weird late night alones I've vibed out to this and wondered. Hope you are all listening on headphones or surroundsound out there.

Thought I'd share this, but the other day I was listening to this album for like the 5th time in a row and while driving I started tearing up, so hard I had to pull over, because this music reminded me so much about my cat that passed away last year. Whenever i have anxiety i listen to this, this feels so earthy and insecty and soothing, i'm so grateful, i can have the possibility to feel a bug and be in harmony with that
I have spent days in rivers fly fishing The insects play such a crucial role in my art Pale morning duns brought me here, and I am so very appreciative of how you have captured the tenor and tone of this beautiful overlooked miniature world
I've seen every commentary down there being liked and answered by the band. This really turns something awesome into something awesome and special. Thank you for your dedication and for being close to your audience
when track 2 started, I had an immediate sense of peace and tranquility. a reminder to slow down and live in the moment, leaning neither forward (in time) nor backward. Thanks for the playlist. beautiful.
Been listening this album a few times after youtube recommended it to me, and with the first sunny days of spring finally here I couldn't think of a better one to start the sunny seasons with. I've been in revovery from my drug addiction these last three months and I've been rediscovering my love for nature and all it's critters, and your music really seems like the perfect fit. It makes me feel all calm, fuzzy and gratefull inside. Thank you for your work 😁
This needs to be the soundtrack to a wholesome nature based game,I'm in love with the vibes of this ❤️ I didn't know one could capture the essence of a word in music but this whole album really just feels like nature
This music sounds like what I wish the world was like. It’s as if I can feel the creator’s good vibes through their art. What a wonderful thing to stumble upon, thank you for this ❤❤❤
Very touching, just like the second album. It's impossible to listen without taking into consideration names of songs and album cover. All the shit happening around me in this concrete jungle makes me feeling so lonely and forgotten in this world. This album reminds me feeling of nature when I was a child and I was walking around garden of my parent's countryside home. It always was so intriguing to spectate small insects and little stones, the life within. An entire universe. Much more perfect than the world we live in. It's a wonderful soundtrack for such memories, thank you for your work.
the world works in wonderful ways, being suggested this album out of nowhere and being brought to tears by it. it's one of those albums that makes me imagine all the beautiful animals and insects and plants we share this planet with, and makes me so happy to be alive at the same time as them. breathing the same air. genuinely, its up there with cosmo sheldrake and kishi bashi's work, two other artists who make me feel the same way!! :) i see that you're reading and replying to all of these later comments and reactions, so i want to thank you for bringing such art into the world! im excited to listen to the rest of your work :DD
I love this comment! Yes I can’t help but think of all the flora and fauna on Earth, too, when listening to this wonderful music. I am reminded slightly of stardew valley by the first track ‘dewdrop.’ I used to play the game with my friends, I wonder where they are now. I am so glad this music let me live in a memory for some time.
This makes me feel like I'm playing Metroid Prime or an Orsinal game. It's a total groove but not distracting. I feel like a little flower dancing around in the background to the music. A small but integral part of the world. That's me listening to this. A beautiful feeling.
Thank you! I absolutely love the Metroid Prime trilogy! And there will be a track on Entomongaku II about luna moths that sounds more like Metroid Prime 😏
as many others found this by the algorythim and indeed this feels like im super small greeting all the insects in my garden feeling the sunshine in my face, amazing album!!
I am less than a minute in to this album and it has chemically altered my brain. It's an extremely calming feeling, there's something that sound almost familiar about it listening to this. It feels like listening to a distant memory. I clicked for the artwork and the title intrigued me. I will absolutely be downloading this album on itunes. Thank you to Chypho and the youtube algorithm.
Discovered you tuesday night, been ill so not fully awake or asleep, suffering and feeling sorry for myself. Periodicaly coming back to this and your other album uploads, vegemen and oceon one, because i promised myself id get well so i can listen from start to finish. Thank you for this beautiful music that has fealt like healing for me =]
Because of the stress of the last few years my synesthesia gift/curse has diminished or disappeared, it’s been difficult to access the feelings and colors. This music has brought back the sensations I thought were gone. It’s like you’re playing my nerve endings as a musical instrument, and it feels like magic. Thank you.
Currently imagining it in my silly game concept that's truly in the concept stage I can imagine my main character walking to it while taking their photos Gahhh so peaceful
When I returned from my trip to Russia (the big goose) in the late 1950s, I was struck by lighting while listening to some orangutan themed music. I was in a coma for nearly 60 years and when I woke all I could think about was that funky beat. Unfortunately as a side effect of what happened, I could not recall the name of the song. For years I’ve had sleepless nights full of dread and loneliness. All I wanted was to find something as good as that music. I longed for that animalistic jam, sadly though nothing ever came close to it. That is, until I found this. This album has single-handedly saved my soul. I no longer feel empty inside. Because of you, I can finally die happy, so thank you so much for creating this wiggly jiggly little groovyness. 🙏🏻
Good work, it is very consistent. It takes you to a garden with insects which have their own lives and this tape is a record of what is going on in the garden. It doesn't flood you with unnecessary realism and it makes it more authentic. The atmosphere is very well created, it is subtle but the world created feels functional and complex. It isn't annoying in any way and it isn't boring despite the fact it is rather peaceful piece of music. A lot is happening here, it just isn't hyperbolized. Feels adequate.
Thank you for your work! During this war in my country I have really tough times to get my mind out of it… but your music is something special! I sets my mind to peace, state I really don’t remember I felt last time… this is truly priceless! 💙💛
RUclips's algorithm has been giving me the worst music lately, but somehow it managed to do something right and throw this wonderful gem onto my path. This has been such a mood lifter as I make my way through the day's work, I can't wait to hear more!
Just seeing thumbnail and title of that playlist & knowing that this will be a nice time with this album❤ best feeling when you klick on it and listen it, seeing how your intuition was right ❤
I've been a death metal musician since the 90s & experimented with mixing industrial, black metal, & classical composing styles in various ratios over the years. I mostly listen to jazz & punk lately, but this album grabbed me. I agree with other commenters that it has a Metroid vibe, but it is entirely its own thing as well. I remember hearing a record once that was a lo-fi type mix of audio playing from cassette tape as it decayed & degraded in realtime during mastering & this reminds me a lot of that, but like a conceptual opposite. This isn't music about technology or civilization in decay, it's music about creation & energy that promises... Light. Warmth. Whatever the opposite of decay is. Thank you for this ray of hope, beaming down on us amidst the wreckage of our postmodern capitalist dystopian hellscape.
Thank you very much, that means a lot! Part of why a lot of this sounds light and hopeful is because I was obsessed with bugs as a kid and I wanted parts of this to have an innocent childlike sound. My album Majesty sounds a lot more like Metroid; I made it to try to sound like exploring ancient alien ruins. But I'm glad I can help distract from the rapidly collapsing hell world we inhabit 🙂 maybe things will turn out okay 🐝
this first song sounds like when you realise how small and insignificant we all are, and that nothing really matters and for a minute, your troubles fade away
This is dope! It reminds me a drowsy morning after a rave I've been to last summer. Everyone was basking in the sun, laying on the lawn, in the mountains and the dj would play chill and cheesy music like this, with plenty of extra natural sounds like bugs, and bird chirps... So good! It also reminds me of Earthbound's soundtrack a lot, which is amazing.
Lovely sounds my friend, reminds me of lots of old ambient music from the 60s through 80s. Great work getting the sound warm and fuzzy like that. Congrats on the algorithm pushing your music, you deserve it!

Thank you! The CD release is very soon!

Whenever i have anxiety i listen to this, this feels so earthy and insecty and soothing, i'm so grateful, i can have the possibility to feel a bug and be in harmony with that
I'm happy that I could help you!
Beautiful, ethereal. The music put me in a meditative state. But Army Ants had me suddenly dancing in my seat.
Thank you!

Thank you! I'm glad the algorithm showed it to you!
Same, tonight. Listening to the whole album right now as I wind down from an evening of baking and cooking.
As an AVID gardener, I truly appreciate this album artwork! Just fantastic.
Thank you! It's a Japanese woodblock print from the 1700s.
I have spent days in rivers fly fishing
The insects play such a crucial role in my art
Pale morning duns brought me here, and I am so very appreciative of how you have captured the tenor and tone of this beautiful overlooked miniature world
Thank you!
I've seen every commentary down there being liked and answered by the band. This really turns something awesome into something awesome and special. Thank you for your dedication and for being close to your audience
Truly AMAZING! You guys are so shit-bird bad!!
This music makes me want to dress like a wizard and walk slowly through the forest.
Maybe I should make fantasy RPG music 🤔
@@chypho that would be neat.
Well meet me at Sherwood Forest in Paige
IDK why but I read lizard and I thought that would be funny af
I already do that anyways
when track 2 started, I had an immediate sense of peace and tranquility. a reminder to slow down and live in the moment, leaning neither forward (in time) nor backward.
Thanks for the playlist. beautiful.
5:44 Oh dear. I can't stop robot-ing!
AGAIN! 🤦🏼♀️🤖
Thank you for your work 😁
Thank you! Congrats on being in recovery 🦋 I have another volume of Episodes in Oceanography on the way soon!
Seems like you're both pretty strung out to me.@@chypho
This needs to be the soundtrack to a wholesome nature based game,I'm in love with the vibes of this ❤️ I didn't know one could capture the essence of a word in music but this whole album really just feels like nature
Thank you!
This music sounds like what I wish the world was like. It’s as if I can feel the creator’s good vibes through their art. What a wonderful thing to stumble upon, thank you for this ❤❤❤
Thank you!
You hit it
This slaps harder then that time the universe came into existence
How old are you.............
Thank you! Those are the exact kind of memories I was thinking of while making it.
the world works in wonderful ways, being suggested this album out of nowhere and being brought to tears by it. it's one of those albums that makes me imagine all the beautiful animals and insects and plants we share this planet with, and makes me so happy to be alive at the same time as them. breathing the same air. genuinely, its up there with cosmo sheldrake and kishi bashi's work, two other artists who make me feel the same way!! :) i see that you're reading and replying to all of these later comments and reactions, so i want to thank you for bringing such art into the world! im excited to listen to the rest of your work :DD
Thank you very much! I'm glad think so highly of it 🐞
I love this comment!
@@TaranTolkien Glad you like it 🐜
This makes me feel like I'm playing Metroid Prime or an Orsinal game.
Thank you for having created this marvelous music and shared it!
@@pamelatesta1433 Thank you for listening to it!
I'm rather a pure metalhead and algorithm brought me here quite unprepared. But I tell you - I don't regret it! What a fantastic subtle music! 🐝
Thank you!
It's a crying shame that I found this via the RUclips algorithm. Your music is amazing
Thank you! That's how 99% of people have found it, haha.
@@chypho thank God you have Bandcamp so I can throw money at you properly.
as many others found this by the algorythim and indeed this feels like im super small greeting all the insects in my garden feeling the sunshine in my face, amazing album!!
Thank you!
Thank you for listening!
This album is amazing, you can hear all the work and passion that make it so unique and extraordinary. I love it, thank you for this masterpiece

This is so moving, like I literally feel transported to a different time & place & mood. So good, Chypho!
Thank you!
Because of the stress of the last few years my synesthesia gift/curse has diminished or disappeared, it’s been difficult to access the feelings and colors. This music has brought back the sensations I thought were gone. It’s like you’re playing my nerve endings as a musical instrument, and it feels like magic. Thank you.
I'm glad! That sounds wonderful!
This sounds like a soundtrack of a Pokemon game. And I am saying this out of joy while listening to it. Really love it. Great stuff. Sharing it!
Thank you! Nintendo music is an influence on a lot of my music.
This feels like the OST of an old, very cozy GameCube game. Like Pikmin, or Chibi-Robo. I absolutely love it.
Thank you!
Currently imagining it in my silly game concept that's truly in the concept stage
I can imagine my main character walking to it while taking their photos
Gahhh so peaceful
I absolutely love how this album was inspired by bugs and plant life. This music and artwork makes me so happy. 🌱✨
Glad it does!
You're a genius
Wait you really were in a coma for that long
@@fredahwiwu5219 yeah, I’m trying to figure that out too…. I’m thinking it’s a story to go with the album 😁
Oh man I love when the algorithm recommends something I forgot about. Can’t wait to have plant hoppers blasting in the civic
Thank you!
Thank you for your work! During this war in my country I have really tough times to get my mind out of it… but your music is something special! I sets my mind to peace, state I really don’t remember I felt last time… this is truly priceless! 💙💛
Thank you! I'm glad I could help take your mind off it! I hope it ends soon.
Love to you ❤

Beautiful and pleasing music, I can feel the joy in the making of this album! :D

RUclips's algorithm has been giving me the worst music lately, but somehow it managed to do something right and throw this wonderful gem onto my path. This has been such a mood lifter as I make my way through the day's work, I can't wait to hear more!

Dandelion sail is one of the most beautiful pieces of music i've heard, the emotion it brings up in me is like a melancholy hopefulness.
Thank you!
Just seeing thumbnail and title of that playlist & knowing that this will be a nice time with this album❤ best feeling when you klick on it and listen it, seeing how your intuition was right ❤
Glad you liked it!
Amazing music! what a blend between Chinese n the Western! Loving it
Thank you!
you’re music fits nicely in my ambience playlist. thank you for making beautiful sounds ❤
Thank you for listening!
Beautifully done, I could visualize everything while listening to each track Fav track - Dandelion Sailing
Thank you! The title for that track was partially inspired by a scene in A Bug's Life.
@@chypho that's lovely :)
Thanks! I love EarthBound!
This is just amazing... It's been my work soundtrack all morning. I love it and my cats seem to love it too. Bravo!!
Thank you!
genuinely some of the best sound design i've ever heard. holy hell
Thank you!
Lovely sounds my friend, reminds me of lots of old ambient music from the 60s through 80s. Great work getting the sound warm and fuzzy like that. Congrats on the algorithm pushing your music, you deserve it!
Thank you, I appreciate that!
The Hiroshi Yoshimura vibes are strong with this one.
I haven't actually gotten around to listening to him at all yet!
Dude I was gonna say the same thing lmao
Hey, nice job on the album! I just found it today and I'm in love with these cool organic sounds you used, especially on Army Ants and Suryamukhi
