Yes I saw him last night in Vancouver and was kind of hoping he'd play his Ricky bass particularly on the Wings tunes but he only used his Hofner when he wasnt playing, piano, acoustic guitar, Les Paul,Uke, Mandolin or an Epiphone Casino..Fantastic show though..Saw one of his rare live performances of Mull Of Kintyre and even had the Delta B.C. Police band walk out in full Scottish regalia playing bagpipes etc..What a show!!
We went to Osterly park where the Band on the Run Album cover pic was taken and we re created that pic. We filmed it too. Its on my Channel. Its called Fans On The Fun. I sent a copy of the clip to Pauls RUclips Channel. I;m STILL waiting for his response lol.
Thanks for the documentary McCormick Andy. McCormick, is a name brand I use, as in spices. A name that draws attention for sure. It should take you far, don't abuse it. Ah, the smell of spices in the Baltimore Inner Harbor. The good old days. I leave you with good cheer, lest I dive into politics. Cheers !
Actually, that's not his Texan. It's his 1967 Martin D-28. His Epi Texan is a right-handed converted to a lefty, and it also has a Detroit Red Wings decal behind the bridge.
thanks a zillion for posting this. twenty times more fun that just TV. I forgot how hot linda was. I remember also making out with my high school sweetheart to "blue bird" and band on the run. fantastic memories. thanks.
Band on the "rhun" as he pronounced it incited my departure from having any interest in pop music. "And the jailer man and sailor sam were searching every one," was just too corny and I wanted better for myself.
Denny Laine stuck by Paul and deserves more recognition for the role he played in Wings. He had Paul’s back when no one else did.
i second that.!
✌🏻🌏🇦🇺🤘🏻
Thanks for putting this up.
I think Dermot O'Leary does a GREAT job here as a SERIOUS interviewer. xx SF
+Steve Sandford , Hmm? Yes, this seems to be well produced, and new to me.

His description of the chaos is, uh, chaotic.

i was surprised when he was like "my attitude was "screw you! i'm making an album you wish you were on""
Is this the whole doc.it says it a an hour long,46 min. is all I've seen on youtube??
MY PLEASUREEEEEEH
WOW. I have never seen this one. WOW WOW WOW that IS the RIC isn't it.It's become about as elusive as Jimmy Nicol.
Where can I download that alternative version of "Band On the Run" at 13:00
13:08 What version of the song is it? :O
It was made for a TV commercial
Wow, look at that behind him.. his original rickenbacker bass, casino, and texan

He was up against it and man did acquit himself nicely with this release. The only thing that may be more majestic is George's ATMP.
@JordanLolss thats not the texan, its a martin that he uses on tour. the texan was right handed strung lefty and that behind him is a lefty
i think the acoustic guitar is the original "Yesterday" guitar but i'm not quite sure
at 12.50 was that a psychadellic demo of "Band On The Run"? and was that prior to the sessions or during? or after? or what?
@GUILMON44 it sounds like it was recorded way way later based on the sound of his voice....sound like an older Paul
hahahaha, I LOOOOVE the way Paul says "Screw you!" on 11:49 xD

fuck sake want to listen to the original album version without digging through all my records
and his ric has never been seen since
Not a word or reference to John, George or Ringo . Faul left them , Paul would never do that .
Are these guys speaking English? LOL Just kidding! Love MACCA!
