He always seems to make the most of every opening he gets, which can lead to absolutely massive combos and super hype moments as shown in this video! aMSa is just so much fun to watch.

Amsa is absolutely one of my favorite players. He always looks like he's having a blast playing, win or lose. That kind of energy is so refreshing to see.
Looking forward to seeing him compete at another tournament soon!
aMSa is the sole reason I started getting into competitive melee.
Just hearing about him for the first time of a Yoshi player almost making top 8 at apex 2014 was mind blowing. So I followed him, which led me to watch other tournaments and seeing other great players like the so called "gods" and what not.
Character variety is good people, it's gets the common folk to take notice.
SIMIFU My personal Favorites to watch are Abate, Eddy Mexico, Borp, Amsa, A Rookie, and some others. Hopefully they can make an appearance at summit or make a big upset at any upcoming nationals
most characters in melee suck to watch though. i'd sooner watch 100 fox dittos over 10 matches with most of the melee's low tiers
Transcedant Kirby, Jigglypuff and Zelda are the only boring characters in Melee imo. What characters do you find boring?
kirby, zelda, dk, ness unless they try and do the yoyo glitch, bowser, mario unless it's mango, peach unless it's armada vs a spacie, link, ylink, roy, samus unless it's plup or duck against a spacie.
probably the only lowe tier i like watching is g&w
i actually like jiggs though.

I'd say it's more just Asma being absurdly good than Yoshi being a good character.
Don't get me wrong, he's an absolute blast to watch but good god, he's hard to play as proficiently as Amsa. Hence why he's more or less the only current relevant Yoshi player.

yoshi doesn't get "a ton of love" from the 64 community. yeah he's hype when played, but he barely makes top 8's aside from wizzrobe, fireblaster, and tacos
Smash 64 doesn't even have 1/10th of the skill technique needed for Melee. It's nowhere near as fun to watch.

That final combo is absolutely insane. VGBootcamp is smart for sponsoring aMSa. I hope they make sure he makes it to all of the major tournaments in America in 2017.

I love Yoshi! Amsa is great as the character and he definitely is skilled since Yoshi takes way more skill than in SSB4 (heck, I have played both). Love the video and Amsa will always be an inspiration.

If there is ever a new "Player Screw ups", I don't remember when it was, I think Super Smash Con, but it was Mango doing the iron man where he would fight other people until he lost, and he was the only person but in multiple times in his team, and one point he accidentally kills himself giving a victory for one of the guys. I wish I could see that again.

Amsa's yoshi makes this game feel fresh and exciting. In a competitive scene where each high-tier matchup on any stage is mostly a solved game and simply comes down to execution, Amsa is a walking low-tier upset. Four years after breaking into the scene, people STILL don't fully respect the yoshi matchup, and that's where Amsa strikes. If you don't respect his Yoshi, he will cook you up and eat you for breakfast.

You know, Armada is right about how their shouldn't be so many norcal/socal players at summit and that their should be a chance for others to get it.
but instead of some uk, I would love to see Rudolph and Amsa Both at Summit. (As well as some Mexican, Russian, Irish players)

Project M DK player. Arguably the best PM player right now. He's from NorCal, and his combos are about as nuts as aMSa's.
Except getting a grab as melee yoshi is much harder than DK's amazing dash dance grab game.
For sure. But DK still has a pretty poor neutral overall.

If anything, I would say Thunderz resembles aMSa, because aMSa had his breakout much earlier than Thunderz.
Actually, aMSa was also a decent threat in PM for a while, mostly before Thunderz rose there as well. He had a pretty sick Lucario, and actually invented the B-reverse wall climb tech used by Lucario and some other characters like Samus
