Main takeaway for me from this is the importance of being able to see in 3D as well as understanding 3D forms. The reason why KJG is able to draw amazingly well incorporating crazy angles is through his mastery of the 3rd Dimension.
Yeah. I draw with a lot of perspective. Symmetry, scale, relationship between two or more objects, horizon, etc etc. There’s so much going on. Its translating so much information, again and again, and Kim Jung Gi is amazing for the fact he can translate so fast. At that level you can feel your mistakes, and he could probably draw really good, even if he was blindfolded, just by the fact he can coordinate lines in his head which are necessary for drawing perfect perspective.
Let me translate this for you, Basically learn perspective, then learn every fkng living and non living thing from any given angle and you'll be at his level.

@@coffeebear9685 FYI there's one lecture on RUclips where there's a translator, it's worth checking out. But there's not much to it, basically draw boxes and fit the figure inside. Also use simplified forms and then add anatomical knowledge. There's no magic secret to Kim Jung Gi, if you learn from any English speaking master it's the same, just gotta practice your visualization, expand your visual library and train your pen control like a madman.
rn I'm currently learning the basic skeletal structure which is pretty easy so far, next I'm going to learn the muscles which is gonna be a pain in the ass but like master Kim once said if you learn the anatomy of the human then the dog and cat everything else will come easier
I believe the guy at the end drawing the skulls is Dongho Kim. Honestly a better teacher than Kim Jung Ji. Look up his channel "hodraw_offcial" here on RUclips. It's worth the look if you're serious about "getting there".
You think people haven't tried that? The translation makes no sense. I think it is trying to interpret the audio, not translate the korean to English. Kim is talking about methamphetamine and smegma for fuck's sake.
Man, hurts to see but all we can do is appreciate this legend and try to take as much from his knowledge as possible.
How lucky are these students, to have a bona fide master teaching them.
At the end of the day everyone who is accomplished has learned the same exact things. It's the man with the drive to study and practice who is lucky.
Bruv they paid money
It's unreal how easy he makes it seem. He does everything with such ease and always by using just one lign. This man is truly skilled.
every sketch of Mr. Kim can turn into a masterpiece damn.

Such an inspiring artists. I'm gonna have to watch ALOT more.
