- (21 Mar 2016) Some of Yemen's last remaining Jews have arrived in Israel after a clandestine operation retrieved them from the war-torn country, an Israeli nonprofit group said on Monday.
As part of the mission two people who arrived in recent days and a group of 17 Yemenite Jews landed in Israel late on Sunday, according to the Jewish Agency, which works closely with the Israeli government and acts as a link to Jews around the world.
Among the new arrivals was a rabbi who brought an ancient Torah scroll with him.
The Jewish Agency would not disclose details of the secret mission, which it said was a "complex covert operation."
The new arrivals leave behind a civil war raging in Yemen and a spate of anti-Semitic attacks in the country, which the Jewish Agency said was endangering the community.
Hundreds of Jews have arrived in Israel from Yemen in recent years, but the most recent arrivals could mark the end of this immigration.
The 50 remaining Jews - who mostly live in the capital Sanaa in a closed compound next to the US embassy and enjoy the protection of Yemeni authorities - want to stay in the country, the agency said.
Some 50,000 Jews have arrived to Israel from Yemen since 1949 and have become an integral part of Israeli society.

As a Yemeni i know for a fact those who were in power subjected Yemenite Jews to oppression but the regular Yemeni people treated Yemeni Jewish community with respect and dignity coz that's the culture of Yemeni people.
They used to be in the palace as senior citizens and advisors to the king of Yemen. Our kingdom was really accepting everyone. We were hit by the islamic groups from the rich Arabs terrorism countries. The Muslims brotherhood leaders also established the hate against Jewish people.
I hope this Yemeni Jews are safe and strong. They were proud of being a part of Yemen and we always pray for them.

I left Yemen when I was 9 years old and i didn't get a chance to meet my Jewish cousins but I'll meet them inshallah in the future

this is not true. Most of the Israelites did not leave the Arabian Peninsula, and these Jews are the rest of the Israelites who remained in Judea, while the rest of the Israelites in Yemen became Muslims and joined the alliances of the Himyar, Saba and Hadramout tribes.
Mizrahi jews are not allways treated with respect by ashkenazi jews. I think it was Weizman, or Ben Gurion, who said that Israel should be a little Europe, not an arab land. Anyway what can you expect from an intrinsicly racist ideology like zionism....

This has been proven wrong through dna testing. Jews, whether Russian, Polish, Syrian, or Yemeni are much more closely related to each other than they are to their neighbors.
There were converts to the religion of the Israelites from the beginning however, for instance the Torah mentions explicitly that many Egyptians converted. I don't think there was one original Israelite DNA, at least not after the Exodus. it was always a mixture of people united in religion. This is why there are Ethiopian Jews, European Jews, Yemenite Jews and so forth and yet there are still Jews. Sometimes too, entire nations converted to Judaism, in which so long as the individual is sincere in the religion, they are converts regardless of their ethnical background.

Arabic and Hebrew are sister languages same letter tones except for jeem and alot of common words. I myself can read Hebrew and in the process of learning Arabic very simple language as its so identical to Hebrew.

Recently in Indonesia there has been an uproar of rumors that all Muslims descended from Hadramout, Yemen are actually Jews, they are popular in almost all jobs, including non-religious jobs (sometimes very liberal) but in short they are the most popular, usually from rich families in Indonesians are of foreign descent, I'm one of them but I don't have a patrilineal line anymore, I belong to the Alaydrus family and I see them as a very rich family by Indonesian standards, the commotion started when other Muslims who were descendants of the Prophet Muhammad exposed their lies as descendants of the Prophet muhammad saw it turns out they showed even DNA results, the DNA results showed similarities with Jews and even non-Middle Eastern genetics, this makes sense because almost all the public figures who are members of this community all look like half white, half native, some of them even whiter than half white Indonesians!!!
