So happy to still see Keembo going strong! I bought 5 copies of the last Spica album to support, I was devastated to hear about the disbandment. Keembo is giving me hope. Thank you for persisting! This is a great ballad! I've really been liking the funk and R&B elements you guys have been adding in your songs recently. That bassline is super smooth and the guitar is the perfect balance between upbeat and melancholy. The brass portions are also super warm and add that drama! The vocals also fit the song SUPER nicely. This is a perfect winter vibe!!
I said something similar on the song on their channel...called it a "slow burn" R&B song. I swear the horns are samples and played with the keys - hard for me to tell. They even tossed in the key change at the end. Spica definitely got into R&B territory when they were around and these two were the best at that style so it fits.
@@tommccarthy3052 I can definitely see the slow burn effect, especially since they seem to keep adding layers until it culminates at the end. I'm not really familiar with Spica's stuff; I know it was their previous group but I don't think I've heard anything from them. I'll have to check them out!!

They - Boa (blonde) who sings 1st & Bo-hying - were both members of Spica with three other very talented singers. I think they were the best of the girl groups from that era (roughly 12-16), but that discussion can get pretty hot with some fans. Boa was the oldest & Bo-hyung the youngest & they were older overall than other idol groups. Most fans believe they did not make it to the top because their two management companies were garbage. It all crashed & burned in early '17. Everybody went their ways tho' Bo-hyung did a series of singles. In March of '19 there was a one off reunion on a show. A few months later Boa joined Bo-hyung on stage at one of her shows. Later in the year a couple of karaoke performances with the two showed up. A year ago, or so, they announced the formation of the duo (the name is a play on their names: Kim Boa & Kim Bo-hyung). This song is their 5th single. And yes I'm a fan boy but also a lifetime musician & it was the vocals in Spica that made me a fan. Hope that helped.
@@insomnia0713 That they did, and have. They co-write the songs now and participate in the process the way they could not before. There's plenty of Spica songs to listen to if you want. I won't tell you my favorites but I will say the live performances are really, really good.

This has such a "Quiet Storm" vibe. Deep, soulful and touching all the feelz but with that special KEEMBO touch.
When it came out I called it "Slow burn R&B". It would fit that Quiet Storm format easily.
I'm so glad to be a fan of this group and receiving such great songs from them.
