I feel like I am going to rebel after hearing this song...15 years ago it was the communism and these days it’s the pure selfish consumerism. Geat film by the way!
The Cossacks were a multi-ethnic community living in the steppes along the Don and Dnieper, and the "ataman" was a democratically elected military commander who, after the end of hostilities, was held accountable for what he had committed during his term of office. Cossacks were diverse and often had different views
@@kDEa2606 It's on youtube, first part here ruclips.net/video/X7rEig4aRKY/видео.html the following should be easy to find :) It's a great movie and amazing soundtrack. Now Bodrov makes huge epic productions but his old films where much better. Kavkazskiy plennik is best
Is there any shots of the band, or did I miss something. Anyway this song is nostalgic for me. My father worked in Russia post Berlin Wall for some capital firm or some shit. Anyway, he worked there for a bit and passed away young. But months before he died, he brought home this CD. I was a kid and didn't even know anything about the world, let alone anarchism in Russia and Ukraine etc.... And I didn't speak Russian. This was the first song on the CD. Me and my friends always listened to it (although I don't think we listened to the rest of the album -- no one knew what they were saying
Brother, I'm with you. This is the «Mongol Shuudan” (“Монгол Шуудан») They were the only ones who spoke about the «Makhnovshchina» Forgive me if something is unclear, English is not my thing. Good luck to you, brother, so that everything will be fine.

Cossacks - a caste of Russian warriors. Atamans - their commanders

One of my favourite films - yet to see a dvd release.
