Remember when Ray was part of AH, Geoff had energy, and Ryan's bad choices only applied to video games? Good times.
I was just thinking the same thing. How I yearn for a simpler time.

I always wondered what it would've been like if Ray was a part of the Siege Git Gud series. He always kicked their asses in FPS's so I think he would've actually somewhat made them actually good in Siege. Jeremy is cool but he's no Ray.
To be fair at least all (except one in specific) are better off as people now. Geoff’s sober, Jack’s the head charity guy, Michael’s a dad, Ray’s a good solo streamer, and Gavin… well he’s still a man-child.
I understand why Geoff and Jack are still there, AH is their baby, but frankly Michael and Gavin have better shit they could be doing on top of the work they already do for RT. I say leave it to the new generation, the veteran watchers still have the old stuff and Ray’s streams.

I learnt 3 things from this Let's play
1 - Gavin knows a lot more than you'd think he would.
2 - Jack is annoyingly good at timing his button presses.
3 - Goeff is RT's official quiz master and general knowledge god.

Watching the podcast is what made me realize Gavin is a lot smarter than I thought. He just sucks at paying attention.
People were commenting like crazy on the last jeopardy saying they couldn't wait for Gavin to make an idiot of himself. But if you watch the podcasts, you realize he's really smart. He's just shit at video games sometimes. :D
Finite Wisdom I think it's you that hasn't been paying enough attention. Often times the others make fun of him for shit that he says (assuming, like you, that he's dumb) only to realize later that he was right, or the people in the comments point out that he was right. He words his thoughts in strange ways at times. If you take the time to actually think about what he's trying to say instead of going AHA GAVIN SUCH A MORON, you realize he's not dumb. There's a difference between making a fool of yourself and being unintelligent.
Keysora I completely agree. For quite a while, I've felt that Gavin's main problem is that he gets the right idea and then doesn't know how to put it into words in a way that will accurately convey what he's thinking. Instead, he just spills out a bunch of words and looks stupid, despite being right. That, and I sometimes can't help but wonder if he has ADD.

Trainer Auro It's kind of irritating because Gavin only ever plays to lose, and Jack always only plays to win. Gavin should try not to do it as much for the sake of entertainment, and Jack needs to not try so hard to win to be more entertaining (in my opinion anyway lol)

17:30 wtf the game is wrong. The answer is NATO. The "North Atlantic Treaty Organization". Not the "North American Trade Organization". That is NAFTA the "North American Free Trade Agreement"
Anyway, Article 5 of North Atlantic Treaty specifically mentions the "an attack on one is an attack on all". That part was enacted after 9/11 for the War in Afghanistan.
The League of Nations was essentially the UN before the UN. NATO is a military alliance, the League of Nations and the UN are/were not.
Yes, NATO was only formed after WWII, but the League of Nations did not have a mutual defence clause. That question is simply incorrect.

No, the League of Nations indeed did have a mutual defense clause. It wasn't something they did immediately - they would cut off trade with an offending country first, then ask them to cease what they were doing, and only then, if the country refused, would the member states be obligated to attack them. It didn't work, of course, but the clause existed regardless.

Okay, so I've read through the comments, and about 9/10 of the comments are hating on Jack about how he tries to win, or about how he gloats, or brags, and most people saying he's really annoying in this episode. But I didn't notice anything wrong with Jack in this video. I watched the video like a normal fan would. I didn't go through the video second by second trying to notice every single flaw that Jack did in the video. EVERYONE isn't in it to win it sometimes. The only reason he won was because he did like he was supposed to, he tried, he guessed sometimes, he got answers right, and he won, and he had fun doing it. That's basically the whole point of games, try to win and have fun. I didn't notice ANYTHING wrong with Jack in this video, and when I read the comments, I felt really bad for Jack, getting hated on like this. He's perfectly fine in this video. Some people who want Jack out of AH, go fuck yourself. (sorry for getting this rude but...) Because he basically created AH with Geoff, and mainly without Jack, none of this would be here. I'm not trying to be rude, but I'm totally against you people who are commenting rude things about Jack. I love everyone at AH and RT equally. And I have nothing against anyone there.
I dunno. I normally don't hate what they do in their games - mildly annoyed, at most, but hey, nothing to get worked up over. They'll do stupid things all the time because they're friends and everything; if you're someone who constantly complains about someone in the crew, then why watch it?
However, I couldn't help but slightly get mad at Jack this episode. He was basically telling Gavin to bet all his money because "all or nothing." It makes it more interesting, so hey, go for it (even though Gavin really succumbed to peer pressure, lol)! Yet in Final Jeopardy, he does not go all out. He just seemed really keen on winning, which is totally fine, but to me, he came across more of a jerk than someone who just wants to win the game. Heck, Ryan all but quit because he was so low; the game just wasn't as much fun to watch when one of them literally just gets the energy sucked out of them! :( Poor Ryan!
On a less immature and funnier note. Ray screaming Eucalyptus made me laugh for minutes straight. I would love to watch Ray play a rage game like what Michael does. Just his screaming is hilarious overall!
Jack was just playing it smart albeit somewhat cheaply. He knew Gavin would do it, but he didn't force him or anything. That was Gavin's choice. Also, even if he went all or nothing in Final Jeopardy he still would have won, so it doesn't really matter.

He only did that in the early Minecraft episodes in which Gavin was, let's be honest, a giant jerk during that period. Jack hasn't done that for half a hundred episodes. Yeah, he suggested it, but Gavin went along with it. Because yes, it's just a game and afterwards it doesn't matter. Who cares if he wins or loses, but betting all in is fun and dramatic.

I think Ryan was always the smart guy in the same sense that an engineer is a smart guy. Neither would stand a chance when it comes to the cultural smarts needed for Jeopardy. Geoff clearly is the most connected to the arts and has the biggest advantage here. Geoff is awesome.

A smart person doesn't waste their time learning a bunch of useless facts. The vast majority of this stuff is info none of them would ever need to know. And some people don't watch a lot of TV or read every book ever written.

If you noticed most of the question would go like this : Ryan/Gavin buzzes in and is wrong, eliminates answer, Gavin/Ryan now having a 50/50 shot buzzes in, wrong answer, Jack now has a guaranteed right answer by just paying attention and answering last. All of them are idiots when it came to a majority of those questions.
Well, like Ryan was saying in video, he doesn't watch that much tv, nor apparently read that many books. Maybe his smarts lies elsewhere; you can't really determine how smart a guy is by how much they know in a quiz show.
