We had a great time exploring the historic centre of merida. From churches and buildings dating back to the 1600's to incredible markets, merida the yucatans largest city offers something for everyone. The neighbourhood of Santiago is perfectly located for exploring by foot,with many incredible things nearby. For a city of over a million, we found merida very safe and the people to be exceptional.
