This video is why I subscribed to your channel. Your videos' sculptures are not too common compared to other channels' selections. You bring uniqueness in your pieces & that's what I like best about this channel.
0,0 I was just like... Isn't this made out of paper?! I was amazed at how you sculpted everything! Thank you for the tutorial! By the way, congrats for 60K!!
Gah! I cannot believe how far you've come, Helga. I really want to buy your Polymer Clay Kit (even though I'm not just starting out). I love the way you edit your videos, I love the writing on the screen, the music, the quality...EVERYTHING!
Very cute!! I have a question though about the way you glaze your charms. I see that you actually dip them into the glaze rather than paint it on, how do you prevent the glaze from pooling/dripping near the bottom of the charm? Do you add some kind of thinner to it? Mind if I suggest a tutorial on your method? Thanks!!
Hi! My glaze is very thin already. To prevent dripping, I simply dab a clean tissue near the bottom of the charm. If you have a thicker glaze, I suggest using a paintbrush. I'll consider making a tutorial; thanks so much for the suggestion! Hope this helps!
This was so cute, and it looked so easy! But when I tried it, I had to redo it almost 10 times! If you try it, make sure you practice making the cuts (on the strips) a few times, because I always messed up on that, and because it was already connected to the triangle part, I had to restart. (oh, and also make sure you do the newspaper stamping very carefully, because mine smudged, so it just looked like black marks all over the clay)
Your videos and creations are so professionally and creatively thought out, it's incredible! The amount of time and effort you put into editing simply blows me away! I love EVERYTHING :D
Hi! I was just wondering what the final dimensions of your paper boat were? or maybe compare it to a common household item? Thank you so much and I love the tutorial!
I'm glad I could help, I've been working with polymer clay for over 20 years now and have learned from as well as taught other artists long the way. I've also read every book I could get my hands on, on the subject and collaborated with other artists. So if you ever need some info or would like to share ideas send me a PM through You Tube. I love to talk to other clay artists and come up with new ideas. So until then I look forward to seeing your next video. Take care, Dee
Thanks a really cute idea. Did you ever think of using a newspaper rubber stamp and black ink to make writing on it. It would probably work a little better than the alcohol and newspaper, although the newspaper is cheaper and more accessible. Just a thought.
esta hermoso, es una muy buena idea y muy original, me encanta porque un barco real no llamaría la atención pues se desase con facilidad, pero este durara muchísimo (no me se expresar muy bien) simple mente hermoso
I don't do anything special, really. Just keep your work surface, hands, and tools clean. I also noticed that Premo clay collects the least dust out of all the other brands I've tried. Hope that helps!
Where did you buy that exact container of glaze and how much was it? I use the sculpey glaze, but it's expensive and I have to brush it on. I would LOVE to just be able to dip the clay >< oh! And one more thing, your clay seems so malleable, do you mix the 3 different clays? My clays seems to harden over short periods of time (only a few months) and my clay softener just makes it greasy :/
Adorable! Do you have any idea where I could get polymer clay, glaze etc? I've been wanting to try it out for a while but can't find any materials! Also, this song! It is so good and relates to Paper Towns in so many ways! Are you a fan? Thanks!
i've seen lost of video of diy - polyerclay . But i never found one that is complete tutorial like you do ; that have - when to bake & glaze it . Thank you :') . ( my english are bad XD haha )
The music makes this video 10 times better than it already is!!!!!

this is amazing ! the alcohol wipes where can we find them? can i use anything wipe?
You can find alcohol wipes at any local drug store :)
This is adorable! My Granddaughter wants to do this - is sculpy clay OK? or should I get a different polymer clay? What do you all recommend?
Sculpey III clay is fine! I'd also recommend Premo clay, as I find it easier to work with.
PuddingFishCakes Sculpey seems to get warm fast and change the shape easily, is premo any more tough and better with keeping its shape?
Beautiful video... I just stopped video in between just to compliment the song... That's a good song... ☺️

Do you have any suggestions on keeping your clay clean? Yours looks so nice and every time I use clay it gets so dusty/dirty. :3
I don't do anything special, really. Just keep your work surface, hands, and tools clean. I also noticed that Premo clay collects the least dust out of all the other brands I've tried. Hope that helps!

I have a clay oven, so when I cook the clay could I cook it on a tile that was left over from my bathroom? :)
Yup! Any ceramic tile would do. :)
