李斯特《钟》is 'one of the most difficult pieces ever written for piano.' from wikipedia. 霍尊 played this piece at that young age is absolutely wonderful. He has the potential to become one of the best pianist in the world if he keeps on practicing piano delinquently without giving up, he would be one of the greatest pianist, if not the greatest.
Yes, this is a recital from when he was still in college. He was around 21 at the time, still very young so undoubtedly a bit nervous and had a few mistakes, but still did very well. I love watching him play piano.
Thank you for the reply. In this recital his desire to prove himself was painted all over him... I like the emotions he showed and the performance as well. Am a physics teacher and am used to give actual performance exams to evaluate my students learning in the lab. Henry's demeanor during this recital is very familiar with me. I can relate to it 100%

So, allow me to say, he chose this hard piece to play doesn't mean anything. Due to his nervousness and inexperience on stage, a little mistake is not a great deal. I heard some professional pianists sometimes made mistakes when they perform. In fact, he is the one of the best or may be the best pianist in non-professional level in my opinion. 这谱其实不难背， 难的是太多的技巧夹杂其中，想弹好相当难
如果只是背谱的话，学了乐理之后背这种短篇的曲目并不难啊，当然你要背拉赫玛尼诺夫钢三当我没说。

一看您就不弹钢琴或者只是初级水平，钟今日在钢琴曲里可远远算不上最难的曲目之一了。当然霍尊弹得很干净，感情控制也很棒，这点能看出来确实有一定功力。
