I discovered Mori Masako by accident on YT. I have collected every song and every concert of Mori. That song is about a Sparrow in the winter. That’s all I know about it except It’s one of Mori’s most famous songs she is know for. Mori sings some of the most emotional songs I have ever heard in my life. She sings her songs from the heart. You can hear it, you can feel it. She brings people to tears singing some of her ENKA songs. Just like Taka does with his singing. Now you know the rest of the story. You should hear Mori’s concerts from 1986. I posted them for you but I don’t think YT links works on this site. They would very difficult to find on YT. One is the only copy of its kind on YT. I have both on YT and downloaded on hard drives. I only understand English But I can see, hear and feel the emotions pouring out of Mori Masako’s songs she sings. No one can sing ENKA songs like Mori can. Even the famous Legendary Japanese ENKA singer Hibari Misora was a life long mentor to Mori Masako. I have collections of Hibari Misora songs and albums, some I bought. You can do a Wikipedia search on Hibari Misora. There are also YT videos of Hibari and Mori together. I recently read Mori retired permanently.
I will try to post this Mori Masako concert link. There are two concerts, this first one is from at 28 years old in 1986 at the famous Old NHK theatre in Tokyo. It’s an emotional Goodbye to all who followed her since Mori was a kid singing on stage. Mori gets married at 28 years old and retired after this concert for 20 years to raise a family. This video is the only one of its kind on YT. It was originally released on DVD for sale. That DVD is out of print as is the first one that recorded on VHS. I highly recommend you to save these 2 concerts and download them if you can. If YT deletes it, it is gone forever.
