zelda has some of the most generous hitboxes, like her sourspot down air which still spikes or neutral b that practically sucks people up and on characters with big hitboxes you almost always get the sweet spot of her forward/back air
The amount of detail you’re providing is incredible. I love this game but I just frantically push buttons 😂 I don’t understand how some people have such focus that you can think, see, and act so quickly lol
Xenar Xandre I appreciate it but I’m not a consistent uploader. You need to upload like once a week to get traction on RUclipss algorithm. I’m fine with that since I only upload as a hobby, really.
Now I can give something to my rival who plays Zelda, so he won't get overwhelmed by my ZSS. I really liked this guide and I consider starting to play Zelda because now I know there is some thought behind the phantom and not just spamming it cuz it's good.
There are some sick setups in this guide! I really enjoy the breakdown of the uses of every single move too, this is so useful to aspiring Zelda mains. My Ultimate triumvirate consists of Peach, Palutena, and Zelda. I played Peach and Palutena in past Smash games, but picked Zelda up this game cause she's so much fun. My results with her are already on par with my higher tier picks but keeping these tips in mind might catapult her to an even higher place. NICE guide, I'll be referring to it for some time to come
Dude I consider myself a Zelda guru and I learned some things watching this. I appreciate you showing so many optional set ups, like covering an air dodge with Up B, or the fact b turned Nayrus is a MUST for phantom set ups. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this guide ! I’m still wanting to improve on my Zelda and this video gave me more tips and useful stuffs for battles and whatnot. 😊
Wow this is actually a really good guide. Most smash guides on youtube suck so we have to go to the discord servers and read the giant ass mega guides they make. This is a really good video and will probably help a lot of newer players into the competitive scene ir just get better. Keep up the great work!
Not really a competitive player but ever since Ultimate came out I've taken a liking to Zelda and have considered adding her to my Mains so this video is a godsend to learning some of her deeper intricacies including mastering the Phantom. So massive thanks for making this guide to aid in my learning process.
I really enjoyed this! I’m not a SSBU tournament player but I think I have very formidable Zelda. I love this character and can relate to a lot of what you’ve spoke of in this video. Great work!

Been a Zelda main since Brawl. I got more serious around Smash 4, but when ultimate came out and some of the changes to the game made everyone's playstyle different, I thought I might try out some other characters while keeping her in my pocket at all times. Thanks for helping me get myself back together after a lack of usage for so long.
Great video. She is not just deceptively powerful but also one of the more fun players to use in the game. It is so satisfying teeing someone up with a phantom and some of her combos can absolutely melt your brain.
I know others have said it already but this was an excellent guide the way you organized the different moves and showed and explained different applications of the move was superb. I think many people when trying to make a guide should use this video as a basis for how a well constructed and informative guide should be. Job well done and I appreciate your hard work for it
Just heard of you from Mew2King and Salem's recent video of "Best players for each character", and found this guide! Zelda is one of the characters I love using. This guide is very well constructed and I've learned a lot from it. Thank you very much, and I hope 2020 you'll have major success in upcoming tournaments! >:3
Thank you very much for making this guide, as I simply love her entire mooveset even more. First time I tried her out, I knew I found my main. Zelda is the character I put the most effort on and this video is the most helpful tool I could have imagined. I am sure gonna spend a lot of time trying those combo and advanced tactics. When I will win my first tournament, you will surely be the first one I will be thanking. There is one more thing you didn’t talked about: She have the best taunt in the entire game, as the down taunt. She actually laugh at your opponent, saying goodbye. This can be a very strong kill combo finisher, like a Fantom into ragequit. However, be careful to not get TTGB (Taunt To Get Bodied). Her others taunt sure decent, but shouldn’t be used as Mitch as her down taunt. She also have a decent T-bag.
I'm so happy I found this guide. I recently switched Zelda from secondary to main and I wanna get better with her. I know the fundamentals and some intermediate stuff but I like the video regardless. Thank you!
Fantastic guide! I especially appreciate you going over the phantom's properties. Zelda is a character I've heard many different things about here or there, and this video does a really good job at putting most of it all in one place. I'll definitely be using this as a resource to refer back to when I'm practicing. Excellent choice of music as well, along with straightforward, helpful commentary. Amazing work :)
Just wanted to say, thanks for this doing this video. I've always wanted to get back into smash ever since dropping off around Melee and this helped a lot to get back into the swing of things for Ultimate. Zelda is my favorite character, and it's really cool to see her played at a high level like this. I just watched your match versus Gen, and it was a joy to see your Zelda in action, and a lot of the parts of this guide used in real play. Thanks a bunch, and I hope you take Zelda far!
Love this guide. Zelda has been my main since melee. There are some really great tips in here. I play against co-workers at work, some of who play local tournaments, tell me they have never play against a Zelda as good as me, but I think this will help me get even better.
This is a really, really, really good guide imo. At least on par with Izaw’s character guide series, in some ways perhaps better because it felt like everything here was pretty clear and either practical or said to be not that practical and it doesn’t feel like it missed mentioning anything as a whole. Thanks for this, I’m excited to upgrade my pocket Zelda into a threat to be reckoned with now.

Interesting to see the stuff about sour spots jab locking. Could you give a quick run down on how you go about drifting NAiR to set up follow up combos?
Been a Zelda main since Brawl, even though she has been pretty bad on most of the games, to me she always been such an extremely fun character, despite her disadvantages and vulnerabilities. But Ultimate seems to be the exception and she feels completely different, I think she still needs some adjustments but it doesn’t matter she stills amazing. Anyway, thank you SO much for this incredible guide, I was able to win some locals and helped me a lot to become a Zelda master. You’re a hero! :3
Playing Zelda for me is fun because landing those b-airs can be so hard, but your defensive options give you many tries to land it. There's so much build up to the release of finally getting a b-air because you get to try for it a lot with her playstyle. also she has some outstanding normals like frame 5 downsmash wtf.

Thanks so much for watching!
@@Raykushi no problem
Definitely going to practice a few things on here. I've put about 90 hours into Zelda, but this is my first smash game so I'm always learning things.
Thank you for watching and thanks for calling me a hero haha
But did you know when brawl first came out, she was mid b tier but sakurai major nerfed her.
@@dddmemaybe I love using that as an edge guard option when they run of of invincibility😊
