Great guide, your damage distribution pie chart is very useful. Like wow damn her normal counter and skill basically do no damage, no wonder my E2S1 Sparkle doesn't do anything, the adv forward is basically wasted on her. Now I'll have to pull E0S1 Feixiao and use Yunli with her as a counter bot to increase Feixiao's stack and use Sparkle's skill on Yunli only when she'll ult.
I just don't like the fact that if I pulled her, she will probably bench my Clara for at least a long time to come. And Clara is my favorite character in the game, even if not my most played. So... I guess I'll skip. They should've made Yunli more distinct in my opinion.
You can use them both pretty easily against enemies who do blast or aoe damage, which would include most bosses these days. Hell, if you stick Clara's signature light cone on her they both can self heal, meaning you have no need for a healer since Yunli taunts. Just stick them next to each other.
If you plan to run a preservation character with her, you would probably want her signature lc (because the base aggro value of preservation characters is higher than destruction, so she won't be hit that much) Also, you could run Lynx as another option thanks to her buffing the aggro of destruction units (I think it could end up being better than huohuo in some scenarios if not running her signature lc, but I'm not sure so take it with a grain of salt)
The numbers suggest the difference in aggro Yunli will see between preservation and abundance characters as the sustain is negligible enough to just go with the best character, just don't run a aggro LC on your preservation unit. But you are right that if you don't get her LC, Lynx is in fact her best sustain because of the aggro she can add to Yunli, with HuoHuo not far behind (if you have her LC, HuoHuo is easily the best, and Lynx is also below Adventurine/Fu Xuan)
I'm with others here, I'm annoyed she's just.. a better Clara, and I really like Clara, so doesn't feel super unique, but I'm still pulling for her ;) gave me good things to start farming :)
Im pulling for yunlis lightcone for my Clara lmao Worth noting that although clara wont be able to reach both stacks of the follow up damage buff, the 500% taunt and free Cdmg is too hard to pass up.
she will get both stacks if you run ty or hh harder on topaz team tho there might be even an argument to use energy rope but that's something that has to be tested more

I'm planning on trying to get her on my main. 26 pity with guarantee... However, if I finish Stellar Shimmer, I could get that to 28, then if I did my weekly su run, I could get that to AROUND 30 pity. Then I add 10 from 2.4 log-in and I get 40. I should get enough pulls during Yunli's banner to get the 5 from monthly reset by the end so make that 45. Add weekly SU + dailies and that's about 52. Add 6 from event and that's 58. New enemies in Shackled Prison means it's probably not another "town" map, so paired with the mail from the start of 2.4, that could potentially get that to 65 or so. This is when things begin to slow down though... But perhaps it'll still be possible.

But, I made a List of Characters I want to pull for and I was planning on going for a Acheron Team next for the Endgame Content. I even placed the Characters I want to go for into 3 Categories/Priorities. That way I won't have to buy the Express Pass that often and only if needed. It can also change depending on how good future Units are. But, please, tell me your Thoughts about it. The first Priority Characters I want to go for are Units I could use for different Teams. Those are Huohuo, Sparkle, Black Swan, Jiaoqiu, Kafka, Acheron and Dan Heng IL. The second Priority Characters are some I could pull later on and seem useful for me. Those are Fu Xuan, Robin, Blade and Jingliu. The third are Characters I'll go for last because they seem fun to play and strong, too. Those are Jade, Boothilly Seele smd Yunli.

You mentioned that Fu Xuan was my 2nd best option, but I’m not sure how that’d work since Fu Xuan usually wants to tank damage for the team.

How important is it to manually use her ultimate? I really like her design, but I play on auto battle 99% of the time. I'm not sure if I want to pull for a character that loses a lot of effectiveness when playing on auto battle.
loses quite a bit effectiveness, I'd say 40% at least. The main problem is the random targeting. If they actually give her a good AI auto play combat on launch this will be much less an issue. Let's hope!
Damn, maybe I should've pulled Firefly's lightcone and save Aeon for Yunli... I have Clara's lightcone but the damage comparison to the other lightcones doesn't impress me.

What are the assumptions for these calculations? Blade's LC performance seems to be a little off, unless you are overcapping on CR. Also, DHIL's LC is a great option too, it's actually her 2nd BiS if you go with a skill-basic rotation on Yunli.
Great guide but wouldn't Topaz be great with her even without Robin? She'll buff her counters by 50% and if you have S1 her counters get 50% Crit DMG and S1 gives another 24%. I have both. I don't really see Topaz as a DPS but a sub DPS/buffer. I plan to try Topaz with her in MOC and I don't have Robin (hearing her song all the time would become too strong a mental debuff lol). I have every other support and E6 Tingyun. Thanks!
yea as I have mentioned Topaz is great duo dps for single target content. It's just that Robin is so overpowered, it is still good without her. Jade is the equivablent for AOE content.

Sustains are not as impactful ad harmony characters for Yunli teams. Sparkle is better to pick up than HUohuo in this case

I think yunli ult is straight up a taunt like fireMC skill, so u dont have to worry about not getting hit unless the enemy immune to taunt.
only if she gets attacked, she will counter. That's assuming no ULT, if in ULT she taunt everything to guarentee being attacked.

Fu Xuan's aggro aint that high, 150, with S1 Yunli has 4 times that. Avoid taunt LCs on your prevervation characters tho.

Lightcone part is more accurate. The relic outer 4 piece is different, Clara doesnt have a really good set like Yunli.
