    Some of you may have noticed that I've already made this video very recently, well the bugginess of Pro Street had let me down. When I upgraded the cars, I always used quick upgraded to reduce upgrading time. @ATomatoIsAFruit made me realize that the quick upgrades bugs the turbo basically making every car down on power. This means that I had to retest every Classic Muscle car for ever mode.

    Chevelle is pretty darn good for a free car you can get early in the game, it's why it's my most commonly used drag car

  • @EddieMaverickHunter

    Nice timing for the Challenger R/T, but in my opinion the Chevelle is my favorite looking classic Muscle Car on the game, but as someone who took a long time to realize how important the clutch is on some drag cars like the Subaru, unfortunately it won't work without the clutch simply because of its acceleration hiccups between gear shifts (like, its gear shift without clutch isn't lightning bolt fast as the one on the Charger R/T or the 2006 Mustang GT)

    Cool videos, really appreciate the effort you put into these, but I have some issues with your setups.Especially on drag races but mostly in genearal aswell, with a front engine rwd car you want to make the back as soft as possible and the front as stiff as possible to keep the weight on the driven wheels.Also you wnat to setup the roll bars the other way around, becuse the stiffer it is the least weight can transfer from one side to the other so weight is distributed as equally as possible on them, so if you want grip on the rear you set the rear roll bar stiffer, having it too stiff only effects cornering behavior, becuse it can make the car understeer or snap oversteer, you want some bodyroll in corners in general, but that isn't a big deal on drag strips, since you going in a straight line.

    • @Marcy2200
      @Marcy2200 Год назад

      You might think that a stiff front and soft rear suspension setup would make sense for a front-wheel-drive car, as it is typically believed to induce understeer. However, my personal experience is that this setup actually causes understeer at high speeds and oversteer at low speeds. I tested this setup and wasn't satisfied with the results, so I tried a soft front and stiff rear setup instead, which worked much better for grip racing. However, in drag racing, you don't want any turning at all. Therefore, I swapped the roll bar settings, using a soft front and stiff rear setup, which provides the least amount of understeer and the most amount of oversteer, allowing for the most turning capabilities. Swapping these settings around would result in the least amount of turning capabilities.

      @@Marcy2200 The last thing you want for a front wheel drive car is a stiff front suspension, because when you accalerate the weight travels towards the back, away from the driven wheels.Altough the best solution is to have, in real life or in other games that have this option, a wider tire on the front and a slimmer at the back.This is the reason why there's not many front wheel drive cars with big power, unless you have a huge aero to help keeping the front loaded, Spoon has a pretty neat Civic like that, for example. My previous comment was about only muslce cars, wich are real wheel drive with a big front mounted engine, and that is why you would want a stiffer front and a softer back, because they are pretty front heavy and you want as much of the weight on your driven wheels, on the back when you accelerate.Anyway, these aren't the only things you need to consider, weight distribution has the biggest role, you setup differenlty a mid engine car with rear wheel drive or a mid engine car with all wheel drive, or a front engine front wheel drive car and so on.The wheel base and track width also has a huge factor, because those will difine along with weight distribution, how much and how fast the weight will travel from front to end and side to side.A short wheelbase car will always be more agile under cornering, because of the smaller turning radius, but that also will make them twichy and unpredictable the more power thus the greater acceleration the car is able to do, because the weigth will trasnfer under a shorter period of time more agressivly.This is why for examlpe a car with a longer wheelbase is a lot more suited for drifting with big power(s15. Cheaser, etc), because of the gradual wight transfer make them a lot more predictable so you have more control over the car.This is also why, you would want to have a bigger difference between your front and rear settings, it makes the weight transfer a lot more gradual, but if you go overboard the car can be unresponsive.Also consider that having your ride hight too low means that the suspension has less travel, so it might not be able to do it's job properly. The roll bars are different in a way that since your car isn't as wide as long the weight travels a lot less, the stiffer it is the less weight can travel from side to side so you have weight distributed more equally on you tires under cornering, thus you have more grip, but because of the shorter distance the wight has to travel making it too stiff will also make the car twichy and unpredictible, also you would want your front and rear settings as close as possible to each other so there's no unnecessary twisting force between the front and the end, thus your car is more planted, also this is why race cars are so wide.Making a roll bar stiffer at the front reduces understeer, making it stiffer at the back reduces oversteer, but still there's a lot more to it then that .Anyway, I hope this explains it somewhat okay, a youtube comment isn't really suited for get into these things, because it is a rather lengthy topic, this comment is already long as it is. :D
