Szilagyi is a double Olympic champion. The commentators needs to stop with the “Szilagyi can’t win” and creating this narrative of the dude as this underdog. It’s ridiculous
Nice but could you make the tile of the vid a little more, I don't know, easier to decipher? What does 160 P1 01 mean? Why not just title it 'Oh vs Szilagyi Individual Men's Sabre Final, World Cup Budapest 2021' so people can find it with a simple search?
@@ThePageofCups Thanks for helping clear up the title code.My point though is making the titles of these clips clearer will help everyone figure out what is what, not just those who already know what a 'piste' is. Not sure if FIE is grouping the events into playlists on their channel, but that would be useful, too. I just want to see this sport reach as many viewers as possible. As an oldster who grew up watching Olympic fencing on VHS tapes borrowed from my club [Numa and Cerioni were my heroes], we've certainly come a long way. I expect the sport's popularity to grow even further with new tech in video replay and better announcing of the sort Jeff Bukantz bring to the booth helping make the sport more understandable to the novice viewer. Anyway, great start to the year and looking forward to the rest of the season!
@@psalmco2425 which one are you thinking of is better? I just really don’t like that snide-y main one that sounds like a snobby professor. He is so biased against the non-European, non-white fencers. I often find he solely humanizes those fencers, neglecting to do so from fencers of different ethnic origins such as those from Asia, and creates a sympathetic narrative for those he is biased towards whilst subtly dehumanizes the ones that he’s against. I know this is getting deep, but listening to him from the last two world championships is godawful. He failed to mention how awful or at least biased the crowd was towards the Korean fencers, but then use statements like “Szilagyi can’t win?”. Get outta here!
@@MrChaseBlue yeah ive always disliked that guy and hes so boring sound like his brain is on lag, the new guy they brought is ok but my not that exciting imo, my favorite one is still the guy who did the foil indiv finals for 2015 worlds
The meme of Szliagyi being unable to win at 14-14 continues 😂

[unknown. possibly event number?] [Piste 1] [Top 01 (Grand Finals)] It's labeled this way for cataloging.

I believe it's how they identify matches from each other. Also P1 means final bout, apparently
6.27 кто-то на стороне Сзилаги нажал красную кнопку. Вообще не понятно когда был нанесен удар
все видно, кистью перевел прям по башке

Who's the new commentator? Bring back the old one😂
Jeff Bukantz. Former Olympic foil fencer.
He’s better than the main commentator. So biased
@@MrChaseBlue could use some different commentators for both of them tbh

은근히가 아니고 이 두 사람들이 원래 실라기와 유러피안을 좋아함. 해설? 이 특히 심하죠. 대놓고.
