I really enjoyed this compilation of photos because after a few years of watching these types of historical images this is the first time that 98% of them were new that I hadn't seen. As far as the photo in question I thought the guys were relaxing and taking a break from work. Thanks HF for the refreshing new images. The one that screamed OMG NO WAY was the diving horse.
The knife grinders pic makes sense-it saves their backs-I love the dogs with them keeping owners warm! It also shows that they were more free with less legal restrictions! Pbly happier too!

Another great collection. Didn't know about the knife grinders, love how they could bring their dogs to work to keep them warm. I love the Chief and his crank car also the BMW. Really, all the pictures are great. 👍👍👍
Thank you. I thought the yellow bellies were in a hospital setting... The diving horse was unbearable to watch. Did the horses live? How deep was the water? The length of reading and viewing time is perfect! Just long enough to look around and read and notice background. Perfect! Thank you.
vannalikehannah there is a movie about diving horses and a rider who lost her eye sight but continued to do the stunts for many years. yes the horses survived.

Some of your dates are very questionable. Lincoln's assassination was in 1865, so I seriously doubt they waited 30 years to execute those implicated.

My neighbor had a Sterio Scope and I would drop by her house in the 50's just to play with it. The slides and the viewer are collectibles today
