Nobody dresses like this in Italy and most of them are not italians. This is a kind of Comicon for middle age vain people.
Pitti has always been where you can see the most stylish Gentlemen from around the world!

I hope people around the globe would dress like these gents so cool , bad ass and manly and i just cannot explain. Dressing good and stylish is something really.

This video gave me life, lol. Great editing too. The playfulness of color and texture were inspiring, and I especially loved those who chose cultural pieces to wear as well. It was all a visual candyland.

I swear, Italy has the most stunning ladies and gentlemen I have ever seen. The last time I went to Italy, I felt so self-conscious and was in a permanent state of underdress.
I went to the marketplace and questioned if I accidentally stepped into a photoshoot or catwalk.
I am italian. Personally I don't like to wear a suit, tie, hat. But if I need it I prefer more discreet, dark colors. What I really like to wear is hiking boots and pants, Indian-hippie style kurtas in shorter lengths and a thicker textured sweater in dark shades of green or gray
That orange suit paired with a black skirt was the ONE.

I think it all looks impressive not mainly because what the men are wearing (although they are super stylish for sure) but because of their attitudes.. I mean look at this guy at 00:58 walking like it's nothing :) "Carrying" your outfit is as important as the outfit itself.

I feel like I just found my tribe and MUST visit Pitti Uomo one day SOON! :-) Folks in the US have become so casual over the past several decades that it makes it very hard to find opportunities to dress up! Would love to know more about when these happen and any tips on attending/preparing for such a fun event.

You have to remember that many people in fashion, including menswear, are also entrepreneurs, and thus are experimenting. You can’t fault them for trying to bring new ideas in. It’s fashion, after all.
