They truly are "gentle giants". There are several breeds that people make that claim about, and in most cases I don't agree, but Newfies truly can make claim to that. They have tremendous temperaments and delightful personalities.
The majesty of this breed cannot be denied. Beautiful, loving, tender, loyal, and all around good spirited dogs, no matter what. I've had the good fortunate to have known 2 Newfies. The second one lived for 13.5 years! Never did any hard work, because he was a house pouch. Miss him so much!
Awwww, I’m so sorry. We’ve lost 3 male Newfs. It hurt our hearts. We now have a girl newfoundland. 🐾🐾💕Her name is Nada Bear and she’s smart and very funny.
Your goofie. Neufies are great in the house❤. They are very gentle and protective of all their family members. I don't live in the best of neighborhood. I let my neufiie out at 3 AM one night. And heard screaming, chanced some guy trying to get in the neighbors garage. That guy busted his cahonies going over the fence. Phinneus got a big treat from the neighbor the next day. I always felt much safer with Phinneus in the house at night. If he thought I was in danger , he'd go between the threat and me. On time he stood on his hind legs and looked the guy in the eyes with one paw on each shoulder. ❤❤❤❤❤
