I love Osmolkina's clean crisp and non-emoting style. Such lovely non-showy lines. She should have been principal long ago. She and Novikova tolerated the gross overlook with such dignity. At least Novikova finally got acknowledged. I hope Osmolkina will receive that much, though the lost years must sting.
Katya Osmolkina should have been nominated a Mariinsky prima ballerina years ago. I was fortunate to have seen her Giselle: She is a genius. Olesya Novikova waited amost 22 years to be appointed a Principal, and she too should have been nominated at least a decade ago. Evgenia Obraztsova, Bolshoi prima ballerina who graduated the same year from Vaganova Academy as Novikova, (Class of 2002), chose to leave the Mariinsky in 2012 to join the Bolshoi in order to get her due. Hopefully, the next Ballet Director of the Mariinsky will be an experienced Artistic Director/Choreographer. The Mariinsky hasn't had one since Oleg Vinogradov's tenure ended in 1994-95 season. Misha Messerer, Eldar Alyev (current A.D. of the Primorsky-Mariinsky Ballet in Vladivostok), or Alexander Sergeev ought to be on the short list for the position.
@@simaraft7373 Tsiskaridze has always wanted to be the A.D. of the Bolshoi Ballet. If he wanted to be A.D. of the Mariinsky, he would also be on the short list. He's proven he can run Vaganova Academy as the Rector. Now that Maestro Valery Gergiev is Commander in Chief of both Theatres its conceivable that if he really wanted it, he would be able to be appointed A.D. of the Marinsky Ballet.
A delicate portrayal by a wonderful bellarina with exceptional skills especially lovely placement of the arms and hands. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Очаровательная в своей хрупкой беззащитности Одетта. Точный во всех нюансах танец.
Спасибо, что поделились.
Every step and gesture was a poetic moment.
Wonderful comment❤

Beautiful performance, full of perfects movements, amazing ballerina! BRAVA🥰🌺🌺🌺
If I have to choose only one dancer in the Mariinsky ballet, it is Ekaterina Osmolkina. Thank you.
Astonishing that she is not made a principal
