      Hi!
      Thank you for watching and commenting. We didn’t test the Purina pro line for 2 reasons; it’s not readily available in Mexico where we travel, and 2, because it’s very expensive compared to the competition. There are many other quality brands for less money, or better value. In the end it’s all about the ingredients. We always recommend reading the ingredients above all. If there is soy or soy meal just don’t buy it…. There are so many top quality options !!!

      I feed my dog Pedigree in the beginning. Now I decided to increased the cost for their food which doesn't make any sense. What I've learn that it is good if the dog like the food regardless the brand. Purina has been making dog food for the last 100 years n Purina have dog contest every year. That is proof, that Purina knows what they're selling. However one of my dog start puking on so-called expensive quality food. So expensive doesn't mean good for the dog. So, Pedigree or Purina r both good dog food. Many people tried to be smart about dog food but it's all misleading the consumers. Please don't overthink about dog food.

    Good stuff to know, thanks. I am thinking dog food costs too much here in Mexico, and I go with Pedigree but the dogs always prefer people food, of course

      Hey Ryan!
      Dogs have a problem with sodium, it’s hard on their kidneys. So keep that in mind when you feed them human food. And if you didn’t already know, no onions!

      Its not human food, if a dog eats it!

    Gia loves the butcher here in Vallarta....she knows she's getting fresh pollo and hamburguesa molida at least once a week. and 2 cans of Atun sin aciete. (Tuna no oil) No papas fritas like mi....(mallo)

    • @travelingwithdogs
      @travelingwithdogs  2 года назад +1

      Hi Ronald! Actually the aciete is not bad for the dogs, it acts as a lubricant. Just make sure the Atún is soya free!!! Thanks for watching!!!

      @@travelingwithdogs Researching this on line I now am only going to feed Gia Tuna from the market, no canned. Seems the consensus is tuna in moderation , but not canned at all. However our intentions we love our mascotas! Thanks for your info.

    im spending $38 feeding every 2 or so months feeding my dog , i noticed that pedigree is so much cheaper then nutro , i might switch my dog spawlding to another budget affordable friendly price

    • @travelingwithdogs
      @travelingwithdogs  Год назад +1

      I would not suggest it. It is very poor quality food... Costco or Sams Club have much better quality food for your dog at a reasonable price...

    Unfortunately, dogs don't get to choose what food they eat. No one ever can recommend what dog to eat. Crazy about the dog food industry that they don't use to recommend to use of over-table food. Now people are confused and they decide to go back to the basics which are over the table. Purina has been making dog food for the last 100 years. People tend to talk smart by saying protein which most of them don't know what that means. Does lots of protein sound good? No n yes. Dogs are 80-90% wolf DNA. Wolfs mostly eat scraps or wild they killed.

      Hello, Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching. Unfortunately, I don't understand the point you are trying to make. IF you are referring to why dogs don't eat human food it's mainly because the food people eat in the US is all processed and its crap. Bad for humans and bad for dogs. Additionally, salt is bad for dogs. (bacon, hot dogs, etc). If you are referring to protein; most dog food has different levels of protein. For example, the store brand at Sams Club is the same food with 3 different levels of protein; 26%, 22%, and 20%. This depends on the age of the dog and the amount of activities he/she is involved in. The point of this video was to explain how much crap they put in dog food. Even the expensive stuff has Soy in it! Animals, nor humans, should not eat soy. I read the label on every product I give my girls and if it has soy (in any form) or added salt then I don't buy it.
      it could be bag food, canned food, or snacks... No Soy No Salt.
      Please tell me what you are trying to share!
