That's not Kompa it's kizomba which came from semba and it is an Angolan dance, both dances were influenced by the Antilles but kizomba has stronger roots from semba
Why do we always have to go in the circle of what came 1st. The fact should be that the dance or dances should be credited to those of African descent- regardless of what came 1st. Acknowledge the dance is being introduced by those of African descent, "that includes Haitians". Many are starting participate in many African or African Caribbean dances and they are changing them to make them their own- with out crediting the originals, then they try to teach our dances and get it wrong .. they try to make them extra sexy to make it seem unique and yet still get it wrong ... Speak on that -
@@ninabaskom101 it wouldn't be a problem if people weren't trying to claim something that isn't theirs. Semba is a traditional Angolan dance which is rumoured to give rise to samba and the music and dance style is completely different to Kompa. It's not a matter of what came first it's the fact that a lot of Haitians are trying to claim semba and Kizomba as Kompa when it's not part of their culture
Taking credits for something you did not create is called plagiarism, fraud. This is not from Angola. By the way the so call kizomba is a combination of some elements of two dances not one but two dances from Haiti: Kompa and kalibeyin to mislead people. Dance, music are universal but credits must be given to the true originator. Embarrassingly enough many of Haitian dance instructors are committing the same act of traitor by embracing theses other similar dances that are just duplicates of Haiti Kompa and other dances styles from Haiti as something new that come around. Complete shame on these types of Haitians.

Love the music an the smooth moves🥰 but they dance different right? The left women moves her hips more...so who do it correct? I ask cause i want to learn it too😍
Its funny how everybody finds it sensual🤣 because we learn these moves from a young age and it's normal to us. I dance with my brother or my father and we don't find it sensual at all
You could do this as long as you like but we dont have bottoms like you unfortunately. How do you actually do this? Could you talk is through please? Pretty please
