I haven't gotten further in than two minutes, but I have something to tell you, Blitz. I play Astroneer as well, and I noticed something with the auto extractors. If you put them down and let it mine until the bars on the sides of it are empty, you can just click on the extractor to pick it up and then set it down in roughly the same place and you'll be able to mine up everything indefinitely.
It needs to be on top of a resource it was just collecting that selfie right because it was just below the surface and you can’t see it but it was collecting it that’s in that little green bar on the side or the one that’s black whenever you using it that is the equivalent of how much resources are below you have to place on top of like a resource
Use a medium soil canister and the soil extractor. the auto extractor is useful cause it pulls out 5 times more resources without destroying terrain...Make sure you attach it to ground properly
Zebra ball is still in the game. Also, the research things you just "find" suck. Open the ExoDynamics pyramids for real points. Glacio exo pods are 7,500 points. Each. You also could have had the second auto arm move the completed powder onto your backpack, so all you had to do was click "print"
You're better off using the soil centrifuge for organic material. Also have fun scrapping all those medium storages when you find out about the new resource canisters lol.
An option for quick greenery that I've been using for steel is to use a soil spinner to create 8 organic from 2 small soil canisters, admittedly you have to reactivate the soil spin every time it's done but I think you can fix that using sensors 😁
If you use the packager on the research objects they can be carried as small items, meaning you could fill the large ship with eight times more of them in just one trip. It would cost you a lot of graphite though.
you can automate the soil centrifuge to make organic, put that into a furnace and automatically send it to the chem lab. The other half would be to have a atmospheric condenser always running so it makes sulfur and boom, 100% auto dynamite!
I know to use a auto extractor just put it on a pack of resources you’ll see the green thing go up and that’s how many things are there and after a few days, the green thing would not be for you wanted to be for or you won’t get that many resources is there’s no green that means you’re not gonna get any resources. You have to put it on a clump of resources to make it work.
the miner only works if it is stuck to the ground. it does not work if it can fall over. just place it on the ground not in the air above where you want to mine.
I think once in an early version of Astroneer, if you went into the tutorial, there was an experimental item that you put on trees, and automatically gathers organic.
he should just take a ton of canisters on a rover, dig up a ton of dirt, then use to soil centrifuge to make organic. also, the little dot in the middle of the auto arm is filtering
The only thing i know about auto miners or drill will only mine if you attach it to the ground instead of placing it in the air and fall down and there must be a resources batch near in order to mine or work

You can farm the research items that respawn in the caves. Use an auto arm to grab them off of the stalagmites.
If you use the packager on the research objects they can be carried as small items, meaning you could fill the large ship with eight times more of them in just one trip. It would cost you a lot of graphite though.
