I know this is an OLD video, but just came across it when I was trying to fix my Brute Force that was doing the same thing.
I watched a LOT of videos about fixing this issue, but the one thing I have not seen mentioned, is about the SPRING that attaches from the bottom left rear side of the engine to what I am guessing is a "brake" switch module.
This spring had broke and my light was flashing 2 w / 4 w drive.
I replaced the spring and the problem was SOLVED!!!

My 750 was doing this and I opted to change to manual shift kit from SRGOI/ KNIGHT kit! works flawless!

Actuator Motor cover orientation can only go one way. Gap in magnets aligns with long bolt of the three bolts. If it's not right the servo is "lost" in position so it keeps spinning.

I'd try swapping out the actuator controller box sitting beside the ecu under the seat to see if that fixes the issue. I'd take the box out and test it on a donor bike to see if it displays the same symptoms if so then you know for sure you got a bad actuator controller box.
Considering the amount of time that has passed what did you eventually find out what was going on with your bike?

That is not Your actuator . Your actuator is down on the right side of the front differential .

Michael Rippie there’s a 4wd actuator and a engine brake control actuator (KEBC)
