I think a lot of people don't realize just how much MCU Peter lost and been through. We can assume that both his parents and Uncle Ben died. But after that, he lost 5 years of his life just to come back to see his mentor die. Almost a year later, he is lied to and tricked by a person who then tries to make him look like a criminal and reveals his identity, which puts him in the public light. 5 villains try to kill him, and in the process, he loses his aunt. In order to stop the rest of the threats from coming, he is stripped of his identity and now has no one who really knows him but himself.

I love how dr. strange admits in his explanation that he cares for peter I mean befor that movie the 2 of them barely had interactions but by the end of the movie he came to care for peter ^^
