I've been an off and on reader my whole life. Boxcar children and babysitters club. The giver and the outsiders where some of my favorites in school. Then in high-school I read my sister's keeper that's a book that has stuck with me my whole life. In my opinion the book is so much better then the movie. I am thesame way as you when it comes to favorites on books. I have so many I could never just choose one.

I love the way you chugged that whole bottle of water girl lmao 🤣 I'm drinking coffee rn so yea 😅 I just started reading again back in October of last year, I struggle with my mental health etc so I'm like a slow reader, I haven't gotten around to Colleen Hoover's books yet but she's on my TBR. The book that got me back into reading is "I'm glad my mom died" by Jennette McCurdy, that is a 5 star read I recommend to everyone but I also recently read "Hooked" by Emily McIntire and loved it! It was a 5 star read but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone lol 😂

ACOTAR was the first book that I had picked up in roughly 10 years for fun. My most recent 5 star read was probably Crown of Midnight... I'm just finally getting through The TOG series!

I've always loved to read since I was in school. But in 2021 I started to read a lot more. Helps me escape for a bit. My five-star read that I always Recommend is The Story of Us by Lesley Jones. Such a good book.

When I was a preteen the first book that got me into reading was City of Bones. At the time I loved those books lol
But I stopped reading at 19 when I had my first child and just recently started again because of Acotar. It also inspired me to start writing my own novels so hopefully one of those will be out in the distant future lol.
My most recent 5 star read was any of the Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy 😊

For me, the first book that got me really into reading was the first Crescent City book. 🙃
Did I read any of the other books before reading this one?
    No, no I did not.
Why on earth would I ever do that you ask?
Well that’s because my mommy (I love my mama 😊) bought me my first book when me and my husband moved into our apartment together, and it was a big book. But I wanted to read it because it seemed really interesting.
    And OH BOY WAS IT.
I read the whole thing within two days and only after I finished it when I looked up if there was a second book was where I realized… I fucked up 😅
Hence where my Sarah j. Maas and all of the other books that came into my life’s journey began and also where I found you! The first video I ever saw was of you finishing Kingdom of Ash and from there our relationship blossomed 😁😁
I have also gotten a book addition from you, everything you post a book, I buy it. I’m easily influenced 😂

HAHA not starting with the first Cresent City book... I mean it is a really good book- one of my favorites by her, BUT YOU STARTED THERE thats crazy. I love our relationship started over Kingdom of Ash, that was my first before and after video

Ive been a reader since my youth (im 24 now) but the book/series that really kicked off my love for books was City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, the first book in the Mortal Instruments series. I first read this back in 2014 and ever since then it has been my all time favorite series/world still to this DAY!!! All of Cassies books in the Shadowhunter world I find so much joy in and highly recommend!!!

The Broken Kingdom series was the first series/books to get me back into reading! The very first book series ever (when I was 14 I thinkkk) was the Graceling series! At the time it had only 2 books and now I think there are 5!? I tried reading it and I just couldn’t do it 😂 it was tooooooo YA with not enough romance for me 🤣 but the plot is THERE in that series! And I feel so stereotypical when I say this but A Court of Silver Flames is my 5 start read that LITERALLY changed my life. Nesta is by far the MOST relatable character I have yet to read. I constantly am mentally saying “never again” and “you do not yield” in my head on a daily basis. ♥️

I think there are a couple of books/situations that got me into reading. When I was 17 I picked up a V.C. Andrews book series, The Casteel series I think it was. I was hooked! I read maybe 5 books a year for a while. Until I was in my late 20's when I read Harry Potter and then Twilight. HP saved me from a really dark time in my life. Then in my 30's I dropped reading down to starting a few books and never finishing anything. It would take me a year to finish a book. Then in my early 40's I went back to college and took two back to back courses with a required reading list of 6 books each I think. And I scheduled my reading and finished them all in one term! That was when I started reading a book a month. Then along came 2023 when my goal was 23 books and I read 40! Ending the year with the first 4 (well 1,2,3,and 3.5) of ACOTAR and that was my entry into TIKTOK and all the books they have to offer LOL. Since I have read dark romance, started throne of glass, and the ever breaking you emotionally Saving Noah. Now I read a minimum of 3 books a month and my genres are all over the place!! I love it!!!

I am old. The book that got me into reading was Twilight, and then I devoured every paranormal series I could find. I have tons of vampire books I could recommend.
My favourite book of all time is Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley. It's a contemporary romance with an older hero and heroine. I just love KA's books. She give's plot, she gives fantastic side characters, she gives hope and HEA's. 💙
I am not much of a dark romance girl. Technically, I have read "dark romance" in the 10-plus years of listening/reading, but nothing like the "dark romance" coming out now.
