  • This time lapse demonstrated the growth stages of a zinnia flower plant. The zinnia seed was directly germinated in potting mix soil. It quickly spouted and grew steadily. Flower buds started to develop around the 30th day and bloomed a few days afterward. Plant was growing tall and multiplying in size, it almost reach 4ft at the end of the video.

I’m planting Zinnias for the first time ever this year and I am really looking forward to watching them grow. I’m a RUclips gardener too. Thank you for sharing this video. It’s very helpful to me. Thanks fo teaching me something new. I hope we can learn more from each other.

I have some out front a dwarf zinnia mix
I also have pink yellow and fushia regular ones tall in two of my hanging baskets I made.
I love them a lot. I just decided last night to start a pot of them by themselves just to see what I’ll get. I hope I have time left it’s late & I know they take 2.5 months hopefully they’ll bloom by early September! While it’s still warm. Happy flowering you guys. 🤗 I love a challenge ❤️

An old lady gave me a little plastic bag full of Zinnia seeds. I planted a few in a pot I prepared and I'm excited about seeing them germinate 🪴

Zinnias the plant that keeps on giving… I collect the seeds and regrow them each year. The easiest flower to plant from seed for me. Very hardy, transplantable, and provides many beautiful bouquets, for my home and to give away, with blooms that last for a long time! Zone 7

Love this video. My only question is: did you get all those flowers from one single seed? Or are they various seeds that you planted in that pot to give you so many? Just trying to figure out if one seed equals one single stalk with one single flower or if one seed will lead to various flowers coming from that one stalk

Thanks. All those flowers came from one seed😁

Zinnias are my favorite flower to grow . They grow quickly , they're somewhat hardy, they bloom with 20+ flowers , and the flowers last for weeks instead of days ! They're super vibrant with a wide color range

Hi, not every seed will grow the same. It also depends on lots of factors, such as watering, sunlight, soil, space… You could try to reduce amount of plants per pot. One plant for a small pot is better.

Probably you planted it in a small pot where it limits the growth of the roots which can affect it's total height
