I wouldn’t worry about I’m sure they will love it! The kids pool area was very nice and they had some kids dance contests and games by the pool as well. We also went during school season so it could be many families weren’t travelling because of that as well international travel was just slowly picking up. By July I can see there probably being many more families and kids there. Have a great vacay the beach was one of my favs!
Excellent video, friend, the Melia Internacional is the best 5-star hotel in Varadero from my experience as well and my channel is about hotels here, I was there in 2019, I had a great time, great attention and I will be there in August thanks for your report greetings from Cuba blessings for you of a cuban 🙏🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺
Amazing video - very detailed and great that you reviewed the food and drink at the Meliá at this seems to be the number 1 issue these hotels can have! Thank you so much!
Hi, great video. Where did you travel from? Canada? Also, wondering whether you took any condiments with you? Finally, did you change your money at the resort? Thanks!
Thank you! Yes we travelled from Toronto to Varadero, about 3 hour flight. I took only Tobasco sauce because we do like a kick to our food but didn’t necessarily use it everyday. No need to change money, use your Canadian dollars for tipping, US $ is NOT preferred there and also their local currency pesos is useless so don’t change your money at all. If you go off the resort to shop local use a credit card because most shops don’t accept cash, it’s very confusing lol but best option is to just have lots of Canadian small bills on hand and a credit card.
@@McChrister yes they will accept it all as long as it’s not US or pesos! They will accept those as well BUT it is hard for them to use it, so Canadian is the best currency to use there
Hello great Vlog, would you say Varadero is the better of all locations in Cuba? How was the staff and is there good amount of food and drink choices? Ty
Thank u so much! I have only been to Varadero but my husband travels to Havana often and has stayed in Varadero and Coyo Coco. From what him and a few others tell me Varadero is ideal if you’re going to relax, unwind and if you’re travelling with kids. It’s close enough to Havana to do a day trip or even an overnight trip. It has beautiful beaches and the town of Varadero itself can keep you busy with shopping and experiencing some outside food and drinks. Cayo Coco is a good choice if you don’t plan to do much other than pool and beach as it’s much smaller and has less to offer in terms of sightseeing and experiencing local culture. Again, this is what I have been told, I personally haven’t been to Cayo Coco. The people are amazing, very friendly and truly enjoy life to its fullest even with their limited means. Food was a hard OK. We had some pretty decent things and some not so great. The juices and sodas were not good at all lol, I don’t drink alcohol so I can’t speak to that but our virgin pinas were pretty decent. I would go back to Varadero for the beach alone, it was one of the best I’ve been to next to Turks and Caicos.
I am going there on January 17th. May I ask if there is a bar at the beach? It looks like lots of walking at the hotel because it is sooo big! Hope you had a great time(it sure looked like it…😂) Any tips, do or don’t’s you can advice? And are there any water sports like Jet-skiing or tubing? My apologies for so many questions.🫣 Thanks in advance if you do reply….Blessings send from Canada🙏🏼♥️👋🏼🇨🇦 P.S. Can’t wait to stay at this beautiful hotel!!🤗
Thank you we had a wonderful time! There isn’t a bar on the beach itself but there is one close to the entry way to the beach. There is free sailing included in your booking, u just have to go to the stall located at the beach and book your time slot. The same stall also offers snorkeling for a fee. You can also do kayak and canoe rentals which was included in the price of our booking as well. I didn’t see any parasailing or jet skiing around but I’m sure there must be something. For cash, use your Canadian money, US dollars and pesos are worthless for them. Since you’re Canadian just take small bills with you, and yes they will accept loonies and Twoonies as well hehe
@@ALittleSaabiish Thank you sooo much for your reply…Looking forward to the “Cuban” experience! One more question if I may; Are they strict at Cuban Customs? Like they overturn your bags and ask you a 1000 questions? A bit nervous for that(since it is Communist…🤔) Again thanks for your reply….God Bless🙏🏼♥️👋🏼🇨🇦
@@McChrister lol why would they be strict at customs because theyre communist? The massive amounts of security and bureaucracy at airports is an American export.
Hey! I’m going with my family in November from Ontario. Some of my family member are not vaccinated, but since Canada changed rules, they can leave and come back but I’m just curious if you know anything about cubas side? When you get there do they check the status ?
Cuba doesn’t require anything. We went in March and Cuba had no rules regarding vaccination status nor did they require PCR or antigen. Luckily Canada has also eliminated all requirements so as far as I know there is no testing or vaccination needed. I would still double check just in case but I’m pretty sure you’re all good to go. Enjoy your trip! ❤️
Putting well-earned money into the stock market can be over emphasized for first-time investors, unlike a bank where interest is sure thing! Well, basically times are uncertain, the market is out of control, and banks are gradually failing. I am working on a ballpark estimate of $5M for retirement, and I have a good 6-figure loaded up for this, could there be any opportunity for a boomer like me? I'm nearly $1M after subsequent investments so far
Sincerely it's best to seek an advisor right now, unless you're canny yourself. As a business owner in both the service industry and eBay reseller of all product categories, I can tell you we’re in a deep recession and everyone is running out of money.
Very true, people downplay advisors role, until burnt by their mistakes. I remember just after my layoff early 2020 amidst covid outbreak, I needed to stay afloat, hence researched for license advisors.
My consultant is Jenny Pamogas Canaya , She has since provide entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look her up online if you care for supervision. I basically follow her trade pattern and haven’t regretted doing so
There isn’t any requirement but for your own peace of mind if you want to get any vaccinations done you could. I’m not sure which ones but you can go to a pharmacist or doctor and find out
I went On March And I Stayed At The Junior Suite Vista Al Mar, The view Was 🔥🔥It was So Nice I Had A Lot Of Fun I got So drunk It was a very Good Experience I Highly Recomendable
First time traveling to varadero Were all 3 meals included with your room booking? How much did you pay per room? Did you book online with US dollars? Are they strict with the amount of people per room? 🫣 so many questions, seems like such a wonderful trip
Sorry just seeing your message! Yes all meals and drinks were included in the price. We paid around $1100/person for 3 nights (a little on the pricey side) but this resort is on the higher end, you can find cheaper options as well. I would stay here again though we enjoyed it. You will have an amazing time!
Food was probably better than some others…there were dishes here and there that were good, but overall Cuba isn’t really known for food 😅 the beaches and friendly ppl make up for it!
We loved it! Lots of live entertainment, music and dancing, and the professional dancers get on there with you and encourage you as well. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as well!
It was okay, probably better than most in Cuba but it would log us out frequently and we would have to log back in. I was able to WhatsApp video chat with my kids easily though so that’s good
Cuba is a great country!! I just came back a day ago from varadero melia hotel and I loved it!
Yes it’s beautiful and the ppl are as well! Thank you for watching ❤️
Thanks for sharing Saabi! We're staying there in January! I look forward to filming some new videos for people to see this gorgeous resort and beach!
Have fun! It’s a great resort
Cuba beaches rank on the top 10 in the world, people are so nice and they love children if you're travelling with your young ones.
Going with 3 kids in July- I hope they enjoy it (was surprised to hear that there were not very many families :( )
